I'm in if you'll let me!
I love this idea, thanks for thinking of it.
I just bought last week a couple of fleece jackets for work and some new knickers and socks so phew! Glad this has come up after I bought them!
I'm pretty desperate for pyjamas though so I'll have to get some from Primark I love their flannel ones!
I just hope a haircut doesn't come in this one, I haven't been to the hairdresser for a year, my hair is halfway down my back and I just trim my fringe when it goes into my eyes. But I'll have to get over this hairdresser phobia one of the days.....:rotfl:I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

Hi Guys,
Tomorrow I'm going to have a sort out of all my clothes and find which ones have been hiding!Debt free date 23rd march 2009 🥳Autism is my super power 🏳️🌈 🌈✨0 -
Buffy & HonestBob - You have both been very cunning & wily so have no fear; what was bought in 2008 is of no consequence in 2009
. According to my clock you still have another 8 + hours to go yet so feel guilt free to keep shopping.
As to dyeing clothes : great idea, have done it myself a few  times & any form of recyling/reusing clothes is great. I would recommend a certain 'body shape bible' book for fab tips on how to revamp/customise old clothes too.
Lula xx
That's handy cos I bought a pair of boots today.......in my defence £45.01 instead of £69.99
Good to luck to everyone and happy New year xxxxNevertheless she persisted.0 -
I don't think I will get away with this challenge because I need good clothes for work and will have to buy more this year.
At risk of pointing out the obvious, people should check out ebay for good clothes. I got an amazing pair of GAP jeans on there for £2.50. They were used, but still have at least six months wear in them. I literally turned out the tag on the ones I was wearing and typed in the exact information and they came up in the search. Two days later the exact same jeans in a different colour.
Nice saving of something like £40!£10 a day in January Challenge - £766.57/£310£10 a day in December Challenge - £256.58/£310 :j0 -
I spent under £100 on clothes this year I think, didnt need any footwear (though my work shoes have seen better days). The clothes I did buy were mostly from Primark (pronounced pree-mark, not pry-mark, no matter what anyone says!)0

Thinking about the challenge meant I thought very carefully about what the items cost and whether they were worth it or not which meant I put a couple of things back and didn't buy anything from Peacocks sale.:j
Ho hum here we go then......GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!! :hello:
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!
Sorry to disappoint you sweetie but that doesnt count as it's a 2008 spend the challenge starts from tomorrow so you still have £100:j.
Welcome barneysmom & weenapops& thanks for the support cerisa.
Ozmoneysaver - good tip thanks, sadly I am all too aware of the delights of ebay & picked up many bargains there last year, too many & many too small now.
Off to add fresh victims to the list now before they change their minds

I'd be up for this....the OH thinks i will fail in 2 months, but i'll prove him wrong (i hope!!!)
I tend to get a few bits from ebay anyway, so will just have to go there first before i splash out on anything, see if i can get it cheaper0
