    Hello fellow crazy clothes challengers!
Wow, aren't we all doing so well.............I am so chuffed with myself - nothing bought yet and I just know if I hadn't joined in, I would have definitely bought stuff by now. I decided to put £2 per week away in a jar marked "Crazy £100 clothes challenge" and that is my money for clothes, so today is week three for me and my £6 is sitting nicely in there! LOL. Seriously though, it does make you think. Well done to everyone and keep up the good work, hard as it is at times! Have a great weekend.

    Hi

I think some people will find this challenge hard, some easy. I havent bought anything for ages. I cant remember when i did :(

I'd love someone to give me £100 to spend for a year on clothes. Sometimes i go for one year maybe two without buying any clothes. Last thing i bought was a t-shirt from asda that didnt fit me!. It's very easy not to buy clothes if when i decide to a buy something and it doesnt fit when i get home so there is no point, may as well stay a scruffy mare :D

I'd join this, but i need a new coat :o . Should i join...... hmm Can i join then please, i know i'm late but it'll be easy for me, so i can `cheat` ;)
    :)

Heu Jen31 - you're very welcome to join in :) thread is moving very slowly because we're all not spending ha ha, membership number on page 1.

Primula, yes, yes & yes ;) ,still top bidder but will probably lose & promise I will NOT up my bid... that's one of the reasons I have debts :(
Will let you know tomorrow ...
  • Just to say thank you again for this thread. Every time I look at clothes I think of this thread and it stops me spending (Well except the £1 I spent on the two Vertbudet tops for DS2). I went through DD's wardrobe one day this week and there's no way she needs anything for ages; she had tons of clothes just stuffed in, loads with the tags still on. Yet she more or less wears the same things over and over.

Agree on school uniform being a rip off. DS1's school changed their logo last year and we had to buy new sweatshirts, PE tops and tie plus they started wearing a blazer so we had to get a blazer and badge too. And... he's in Year 10 and in Year 11 they have different ties / badges etc so it'll only last one year. (I buy new jumpers but he could have kept the same tie). He wears a white shirt underneath his uniform though - luckily they can be bought cheaply in Asda.

A little update Parcel 1 of my mega order came all the nightwear, I dont think I've laughed so much in my life, one of the descriptions was chemise with rosebuds, it looked like a theatre gown that had been stiched up the back.
Good news I have kept 8 prs of pjs, (sods law mine go at the same time), and as they were such a bargain (£33), mum said I'll buy u them for ur bday........so I still have my £100 in full xx

    Hi everyone

Well its nearly the end of the first month and we seem to be doing okay don't we? I've not spent anything but then I've not been much in the mood for clothes shopping anyway, so that's been a good thing although I know I will have to have a look for a pair of shoes sooner rather than later. Ugh. Hate shoe shopping. Anyway, congrats to one and all. Here's to the next month.
I got there - I'm debt free and intend to stay that way. If I haven't got the cash, it doesn't get bought. It's as simple as that.

Brilliant news on your freebies mum2one :j

You'll all be very glad to hear that I lost the ebay item  . Only by 10p :rotfl: & largely as I was out when it ended otherwise I might well have been tempted into some determined last minute bidding  . I got a new chest of drawers yesterday & moved all the furniture around in my room. I sneaked a look in my summer clothes trunk & was pleased/sad  to discover even more stuff in there than I remembered :o , also found another 5 pairs of shoes  :o .

    We've nearly done a whole month now guys :j I think we're all :A :D
