Hiya
What a fabulous thread! You're all doing so well. My aim this year is to spend no money on clothes for myself...did I really type that???? Scary! I only ever spend about £200 a year on myself but this year it's a ZERO budget! I'm only allowed to spend money / vouchers that given to me. Should be fun! xx0 -
Mudbath, you are clearly far more crazy than me
although if I'm totally honest I probably could get away with spending nothing apart from the £15 on the M&S gift card. . . but I think I would be emotionally scarred for life .0 -
Hi all everyone is doing so brilliantly on this challenge so far! I am v proud of myself today i went to town with mum and didn't buy a thing!I went in Marks and they had the two tops i saw online before xmas and really wanted to buy my 4 year old and it was v v v v v v hard(lol) but i walked away without getting them! In the past i would have snappd them up.
Also mum gave me a really nice summer M&S top, it is a size under mine but i am going to try to lose this baby weight and hopefully by July will have dropped a size - then when i get get out my clothes in the roof it'll be like a whole new wardrobe as they've been up there so long!Am going to avoid town now like tha plague as i know i might be tempted on my own to pop back and get those tops!grocery challenge jan 17 £ / 350.000 -
Well done dobs -
I too am hoping to get into my summer wardobe once I've dropped a size - would love to blame DD for it but as she's 9 I think that's pushing the 'baby fat' excuse to extreme0 -
I spent £13.50 on a jumper today, but it was using vouchers that were a gift. I can't remember whether I am counting it in this challenge or if the vouchers that I already had were free and I was only counting cash, I had better go and trawl back to see....
I may be some time
(the jumper is lovely though, £13.50 down from £45 in Monsoon using a £15 voucher so a *free* £1.50 back from it in coins too)
ETA: I didn't specify so I guess I had better include it. £13.50/£100 it is then!£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

I have a confession to make
I caved a bought a fab new top from New Look - it really suits me and I love it, have never seen it before - it was only £8 though
Although, there is good news too :rotfl:I bought it with a voucher I got for Christmas! So really it doesn't count in my totalbut I thought I should confess here anyway to make me less tempted in the future! lol!

Really pleased today, my sons friends lovely mum gave me a pair of pjs and several lovely next tops that he has grown out of for ds2. When i looked at the sizes they will actually fit ds1 as he's 2 sizes behind for his age and i was thinking he'd be needing some tops/pjs in this size so am v chuffed. Plus with 2 brothers younger than him they will get plenty of wear - i love a bargain!
Have been looking on ebay tonight at shorts for summer, thinking i will just get him some from primark this year as they will probably be the same price new as used ones on ebay!
Just heard ds2 got into same school as ds1 so will start trying to buy 2nd hand sweatshirts when they have them - worked out if i bought four brand new one it would cost me £32, or for 4 2nd hand ones £2!!!!Bit of a difference there lol!
Lol Lula-Hula at least you only need to drop one size - i'm three sizes bigger than before i got pregnant!grocery challenge jan 17 £ / 350.000
