Nothing against my name at the moment. The chap, Bill, who was very helpful, said that I should get a call next week.

He also said that my name was one who would be likely to be offered a position, but it all depends on if anyone declines the position. ARRRRRRRGH!!!

I'm away for a large wine and to try and figure out what I should do about this other job offer; hold off and wait for JCP to get in touch or settle for a job which pays 50% less. Urgh!:mad::eek:

can i suggest that you take the offer and agree a start date a little later, or get them to send u a contract to sign this will always delay a little until you get the offer from jcp. but do not discard this offer just in case.

I've been an ardent, but silent, follower of this thread for a loooonnnnnggggg time.

Applied June 8th as an AO on IRC61517 and been through the same rigours as everyone else. Exams, interview, success letter then nothing. Phone calls to Newcastle, engaged tones, ringing forever etc:mad: trying to find out whats happening.

To cut a long story short, got the call today and am starting on the 19th October.

Woohoo!!!! :j

Keep the faith, it will come but still keep applying for other things. You might end up with something better.
