Sweetikklemunchkin....i will have to ask. Too shy at the moment to bring it up. I'm such a wimp!! Let us know about how you do with this job anyway
I am a dude, just in case there is confusionit's just I haven't cut my hair for AGES, as I've had no need and I've always hated it...So it is rather long now

Thanks
I start in two weeks
My hair is so long/messy  how does 'business wear' dictate hair?!
The "business" does not dictate how you wear your hair, saying that your Line manager maybe (if you're terrible unlucky) a jobsworth/control freak (I just mean you can get them anywhere not particularly pointing at DWP) and try to dictate this, just try and stand up to then and tell them as long as you meet Jobcentre Plus dress code its shouldn't be a problem, we aim to treat individuals as individuals in DWP."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0 -

Congrats Toby and Slitty!!!!!!!!!
Hopefully more peps will be hearing soon too!!! Wahhhoooooooo!
How was your second day? OK?
You need to pluck up the courage to ask about expenses - you are entitled as your training is not happening in your home office, HR don't get involved the way it works is you claim the relevant expenses in RM, when you submit them it goes to your Line Manager who will Accept/reject them. It works in a way that you have to deduct what your normal home to office deduction would be and claim the remainder, you also get subsistence (this covers you having to buy a meal and assumes that you would normal bring your own lunch or maybe go home for lunch), it maybe that you're not set up on RM yet which is why they haven't mentioned it.
If you can't bear to ask keep records and bus tickets etc and sort it out with your LM when you meet them after your training.
