I'm desperate to start at the DWP - I swear I almost passed out at my other job yesterday, it was so hot, my clothes were wet with sweat all day. I can't wait to leave.

I phoned up Newcastle and asked about the status of my application and all she said was that the checks were now all complete and it has been passed on to the Business Centre. I'm not sure what this means?

Hmm. Did you mention anything about the alleged recruitment freeze?

Well another week gone by for IRC60535. Was told week before last that my references had been cleared and had been passed to Business Services, would be getting a call the following week (last week) ...Guess what no call! Also checked with one of my references and he hadn't sent the email back until a few days after I'd been told I was clear. Had they passed me through anyway or just fobbed me off and lied?! I really hope I get 'the call' this week and that the start date is soon it's been a ridiculous wait. :mad: I never found out my merit list postion bet if I call up now it'll be out of their hands as they've passed it to business services. That's if I even get through!! RANT, RANT, RANT:mad::mad:
