Is CSA1 an exact science? (if so where can I get a copy of the formula) -merged-

I appreciate you are having a hard time, but there are no 'groups', the only person looking at things objectively is you.
Buh-bye hanny83. You've earned a one-way ticket to Coventry. The CSA is unjust, oppressive and discriminates men. If you tell me otherwise then 2 and 2 is 5, and you have a Ph.D in rendering bovine fecal matter.0 -
Yes, the truth hurts doesn't it.Hanny:easter_ba0

Regarding my arreas I have told the CSA that I will need to take out a loan to pay these off (£4000) and have been thinking of increasing my mortgage by this amount to do so. Will the CSA take into account the larger mortgage payment if I do this?
No, i'm afraid they wouldn't because the loan would not be for the purposes of securing the property in which you live, or improving it.
How old is your assessment?0 -
Ok, so December won't be looked upon as being a 'normal' month then. What is October's gross pay? And your weekly maintenance liability is what exactly? Not including arrears?0

Assessment is pre 2003 changes.0

Ok, so it is quite old - it may be worth getting it updated. Do you have a breakdown of the last assessment done so we can compare?0
-
Sorry, I meant my case is pre 2003. I was recently assessed at £501 because I changed my job and was paying a nominal rent on lodgings as me and my partner split up several years ago. We are now getting back together and also my working hours have been cut so I need to supply new details to CSA and hopefully get re-assessed properly.0

Added up the last 12 months gross pay is £16907.76 (01 December 07 to Decenmber 08) including the overtime.
Those figures do not equate to you working the 70-75 hours each week as you have been claiming. Even if you still have some overtime, a re-assessment request providing the correct payslips would have lowered your assessment.0 -
Ah but Lizzie, remember he is claiming that he worked for 75 hours in Summer 2007.
This is despite regualar claims since he came to this board that he was knackered working a 70 hour week and 'needed a break'
