This of course should be true, but believe me, I have managed to glean quite alot of useful information from the CSA about my ex and his employment status and living arrangements.

It's all in the way you ask the questions and if Mothballed's ex is on the ball.....

Totally agree, I knew nothing and I now know quite a lot :)

On the ball? No. Vindictive? a big fat yes!

I dont want ex having my address. She has already tried phoning my employers payroll contractor pretending to be the CSA. It failed on the company security check because she/CSA officer didnt know my payroll number. The CSA would have known this. Nobody else has a motive.
The CSA is unjust, oppressive and discriminates men. If you tell me otherwise then 2 and 2 is 5, and you have a Ph.D in rendering bovine fecal matter.
  • Thats a very grey area for the CSA to miscontrue (to their advantage). When living at any property then I would be liable for housing costs in any event. Council tax is non negotiable unless i have missed something all these years.

I can now see why my case went pear shape.

OMG! i didnt know the ambulance chasers have turned on the CSA. Thats so funny I can imagine a Billy Murray TV advert...Did you lose money and it was the CSA's fault?....Call Now! I feel another round of bank-charge reclaims coming on.

    But not in all cases,K.

Mothballed - It would be in your interest to phone SL up and have chat about your case with him. He will then advise you further.

The house that you rent from your uncle - what proof do you have that he no longer lives there?

He lives in Lucerne Switwerland. Kinda hard for me to prove he lives there. I think the CSA just makes all this stuff up and makes it my problem for me to prove otherwise.
    kelloggs36 wrote: »
Secondly, whilst he was there, you were correctly classed as a non-dependant as it clearly states that if you are living in a house with a person and you only owe that person money to live there, then you are a non-dependant ie you have no legal responsibility towards the housing costs.

We never lived in the house at the same time. I didnt move in until after he vacated it and converted it into bedsits. You say i have no legal responsibility for housing costs. I understood a tenancy agreement is a legal document recognised in law. Council tax is an automatic liability and I am made responsible by law. Is that not the case? I argued this with the CSA for years but they kept saying they are relying on government information. I asked what information that was but the CSA would become secretive and defensive and I put it down to CSA Bovine fecial matter.

If he has moved out maybe you should get a different tenancy agreement which clearly states that the terms of the tenancy have changed and are now on normal terms in respect of rent.

I contacted the lawfirm that produced the tenancy agreement (their name is on the back cover) and they said it is a legally tested contract from clickdocs.com. Its the CSA's choice not to accept it.

    hi mothballed

its been a long time for me having much to do with CSA. however

are you on 1 or 2? it makes a huge difference to what you pay

    answer to q

its up to the judge wether you get legal fees back from CSA. so if you have a solicitor and he asked the judge will consider it.

are you sure you need the solicitor?

if you are not working you can probably do it all yourself

try finding NACSA and/or a CSA bb, they will help more than i can,

but thats not to say dont post, just that i am not current.

    kind regards

sorry its me, i speed read and miss loads

you can ask for and cannot be denied a change of circumstances review and make clear what you do/dont/did earn.

this may take ages but it cant not be done, if that makes sense.

assume now i read more that you are on CSA 1

you can ask (but they dont have to do it) to be put on CSA 2 which is simpler to work out. if it helps i am sure that everyone is meant to be on it by now.

if you have a current and proper rent book, its a valid document and they cannot just diregard it.

    from memory
    if your on CSA1
take your wage (what you actually come out with)

    take off any
    mortgage/rent
    pension
what ever is left is called disposable income
you must pay (iirc) 30% of that disposable.
other items can be taken off wage too but if its a loan etc you need to prove what its for.

do the figures you have to pay add up?

plus now if your on jobseekers you can stop paying

also your girlfriend never has to give her wages or any other details, although CSA will try to bully you. CSA DO NOT HAVE TO KNOW WHAT ANYONE ELSE IS EARNING

sorry i had to make that clear because it really annoys me that they ask. the kids are not anyones but yours and the mothers so only you two should pay.
so if in fact the CSA knows you will have to ask them to reasses you, you can tell them she left (but she doesnt really) apparently it should make no difference to the amount you pay, but it been known to.
    63 mortgage payments to go.

    Zero wins 2016 😥

If so the caseworker has acted totally unprofessionally and should have been disciplined.

Probably. But it's been many many people I have spoken to over the years and to be perfectly honest, it has suited my needs.

I'm under no illusion that my ex has probably been told stuff about me that he shouldn't.

I need all the ammunition I can find to try and get money from my ex and if I have to be a bit underhand by getting information then I'm afraid so be it.

If he was a compliant NRP or the CSA exercised their powers more instead of giving lip service then I wouldn't have to.
