    Hey HOOS

Just thought i would send you a quick line RE:CAB, the guy i spoke to was really helpful, if a bit rushed, but he is going to write to all of my creditors to offer them monthly payments of £1 per month (not a lot but should keep them off my back for a bit) and i didnt have to walk home as got a day ticket (good job coz its pouring)

    Hope you are well

  • Hey Barrys-Lass, glad the CAB was helpful - from what I've read on here, there's so much you can do to sort things out, and there is help out there, well done for going out to get advice. And I'm glad you didn't have to walk ten miles!

Do they have a union in the factory? I can't believe what's going on there, it's like a story from the 19th Century or something! Something has to be done, it's completely unforgiveable. Has anyone thought of going to the press with it?

There is no union there at all, the union tried to get in but as less than 50% joined the company wouldnt recognise it (that was when i was working there a few years ago) but i dont know what it is like now. Im not sure about the press, i think some research would have to be done first before starting something like that. But it is an idea.

    Hows things going with blodger?

  • Alright, he's still very annoying but I can handle it knowing that he's leaving soon. :)

It's a shame about the union, I think that if they acted collectively & got legal assistance through a union, they'd surely be able to get them on that, using materials that are known to be dangerous??

Hope you have an advent/prison/something style calender marking off the days til he's gone.
  • Ha ha, just mentally counting it down! 20 days to go...

Well, my balance transfer's gone through, £1780 off the monument balance is going on to the new 0% Natwest card within the next 5 days. Hurrah! I should really be able to start chipping away at that debt now which is great. Yay!

Already called up and set up DD for minimum payment so no whoopsies there.

Also got my info about pay award for this year, will be about £80 a month better off, so that's all good. It'll all go towards getting rid of these horrid debts.

Tough month this month, getting stung on the 16th for the extra money for the holiday, and trying to put money aside for the dentist next month (new braces to pick up) so not sure how much I'll be able to pay off, but gonna get busy on the Ebay front to try to get a bit extra together. Got a couple of mystery shops lined up too so will throw that at the debts.

    Hey HOOS,

How are you feeling, is work getting any better? Have you found a new house mate yet?

Natwest gave me a really good credit card deal, they seem so far to be a very nice CC company.

I’m back and more determined than ever!!!!!
  • Hey Hey :)

Work's looking a bit better, had a word with my boss, was calm but assertive (been reading, ha ha) and explained to her that although I'm sure she didn't mean to cause upset, I wasn't happy about the way she spoke to me. Also took the opportunity to explain how unhappy I was with the work I was being given.

Hey presto, I have a role within the training team! Hurrah! So, things hopefully looking up work-wise.

Things ok at home, not got anyone in yet but got a few interested, so not too worried.

Balance transfer has now completed, hurrah! Now to bust the rest of that debt!
