Good morning everyone!!!!! well, my boiler has broke!!!! the little box that we had put on so we can control the temp finally gave up last night (have been trying to get my fellas friend round since new year to fix it has he is the plumber that put it in) then my boiler gave up so have had no heating or hot water since last night!!!!
Glad i have an electric shower and a decent kettle so can still have a wash and wash up. my washing machine only uses cold water and heats it up itself so not too bad.
Have done all my housework to keep moving and warm and ds1 is sat on the sofa with his fleecy blanket on. ds2 also now asleep with a blanket over him. Fingers crossed it gets sorted today.
Going to a friends house for lunch today so another free lunch for me!!!!!!:T Trying to finish all the odds in my freezer as think we will be doing a freezer shop this weekend so tea is a miss match of all sorts i find and has/will be till sat!!!!!!
right, im off for a look around and a
to keep warm.

Free lunches on Mum are the best! I had one myself just yesterday.
Good luck with the Ebaying of the baby clothes. Part of my motivation for losing weight is selling all my fat clothes! No need to buy thinner clothes either, as I still have them from when I was thin!
Can't believe your boiler! At this time of year! In this weather! Hope you can try to get it sorted soon.
As long as you have a kettle...

Glad boiler working again, its horrible i know mine went just before Aidan was born brrrrrrrrr x x xDebt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T
2020 the year of less - Less debt, less waste, less spending, less stuff, less stress!0 -
Good morning everyone!!!! I am so happy my boiler is fixed:D , an electrical fault so they had to rewire my boiler to get it going again. That took ages so ended up getting a chippy for tea:mad:
Anyway, was so tired last night but when i went to bed i just coouldnt get to sleep!!
But in amongst all my tossing and turning had a brilliant thought!! (yes, it did hurt:rotfl: ) why not ask hbos cc what deal they will do if we balance transfer the next debt to it??!!!!!!! that way i will be getting rid of the highest interest debt and bringing down the interest rate on the card!!!!! and can pay the extra £50-£70 i have been paying off the next card to it too so will get the debt down quicker! Have not heard anything from Virgin so giving up on that one, if they never recieved an application then surely that can only help my credit score........... this at least would be a way round it?
going to my mums today to help her strip and paper the stairs so another free lunch!!!!!:D checked the online banking and its still scary what i see but at least i know we are not going to hit the overdraft limit. My fella has been really good since new year and only spent in the garages once or twice so least that amount has come right down!! :T
was thinking of finding and printing a plain calender off the internet and then writing in what was spent on each day including the derict debits, we can get an accurate picture that way rather than a spending diary as we would both forget to fill it in, if its off the statements then there is no kidding ourselves.
think i have rambled enough and need to get on with housework (same thing different day!) and doing all the things on my to do list for the week (as not done any thanks to being poorly sick!)
first things first,
time whilst i think about where to start.......

EDIT: just thought (i know, twice in 2 days) i have a bit of room on my egg card now, if i transfer some of the next card over, will it still be 0%? (sorry, that will prob sound like a really stupid question but the answer has deluded me:o )December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

hello, hope you have fun at your mums - if stripping wallpaper can be!

Good idea about the next if thats the highest interest then give egg a call and see what they say..check what the transfer fee is just incase...
Glad your oh is being better with all the garage spends..

You ned to check with Egg about the 0%. Sometimes they run offers whereby 0% lasts for 5 months (or so) and you can balance transfer up to your limit during this time, but usually the whole balance will revert to a standard rate at the end of 5 months (its not a rolling 5 months from when the BT happens!). I had 2 cards with Egg (don't ask!!), one was at 12.9% the other at 17.9% standard rates!
If you don't ask - you definitely wont get!! lol
Glad the boiler fixed!!! Have a lovely 'warm' weekend!!start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
end = Mon 28th Sept 2015 DEBT FREE!
I love a good plan - it may not work.... but I love a good plan!0 -
Have just been shopping and found myself actually calculating whether a deal was worth it!!!! think i was stood infront of the loo rolls for 5 mins adding up whether there 12 pack of shades loo roll was cheaper at £4.50 than getting 4 packs of 4 (not in one go mind
) Have never done this and am so proud of myself. Spent £64 so think over my budget spesh as doing a freezer shop on sun. Think i may have to change to a yearly amount as i get bulk baby stuff when on offer etc..........................
Ooh, i have got some good news on the ebay front, have sold another item, one more has a bid and severall others have watchers so all good!!! will have to sort out some more stuff to list.
Got all ds1's and ds2's clothes, pj's, underwear etc today. remembered i had kept the money they had got from xmas that i was just going to put into their bank accounts but bought the clothes with it instead!!!! loads of it was half price or greatly reduced so dread to think how much it should of cost!!! had it all hanging from the trolley handle so looked like a walking clothes rack!!December 2018: £20,850.24.
