Best Happenings of 2008
1. OH finished his script and is officially no longer an addict (long story but I am very proud of him now)
2. OH recovered amazingly from the unexpected job loss and has built up a business on his own, now doing well.
3. No one I love died this year!
4. Earning a little money myself for the family and using it to take driving lessons again!
5. Realising it was not the right time to get married yet and having the courage to cancel 3 weeks before the big day. (Another long story but one I do not regret)
Best thing from this thread
Being welcomed back with no comment on my dissapearance! Seeing how much it has grown and how wonderful you all are to each other!
Remarkable thing that changed me
My best friend splitting up with her husband 6 months after they married has taught me a lot, about relationships, friendships and life in general...
I am hoping that 2009 will be the first year OH and I have that is reasonably uneventful, God knows I think we deserve one, 2008 was full of trials and tribulations, conclusions and consequences, time for a fresh start.June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Cheers... nearly at the end of my (non-fizzy) bottle...:D ... but I always find NYE an anti-climax. Still, here's hoping that 2009 is better than 2008...
I'd like a new man for a start (but I guess I have to go out occasionally if I want to find one of those) as it's now been over a year since my last relationship finally broke down. And maybe a promotion and a pay rise, which means I'll have to get off my bum and start applying for jobs on higher grades, which is a pity, since I love my job
oh greenbee - my thoughts exactly! 2009 HAS to be a better year!

Greenbee, has it took them this long to notice? After being told that not only could they have it all, but that they should also want it tall, more and more women left their families and went out into the workplace to earn a paycheck.
Goodnight, enjoy that Harry Potter
Think I'll take my accounts books to bed :rotfl: start this year by planning it financially. One day I might be more organised...........
