  • I have just recieved my visa bill for a booking made at the Hilton in Dublin 3 nights. Although I have a copy of the booking charging me £172.50 my card has been charged £265.16 due to euro conversion, has anybody else had this problem, and if so is there anything I can do about this?

Offer extended till 12th February, for stays up to August.

I booked with the Hilton site via Quidco :D

    - a great deal at Paddington Hilton 30th January (loved the Art Deco look) as work paid for that night
    - extended the trip & had a night at my own expense @ Hilton Olympia, veryglad I was not paying full price as it is a bit of a shambles

All OK on the credit card so Just booked again for March ;)
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.

Hi - one thing to watch out for is the promise of a 'lazy 6pm checkout'. I rang up the Hilton I was wanting to stay at (London Metropole) and they said this wasn't guaranteed (she pointed me to the terms and conditions of the deal on their website, where it is indeed stated that 6pm checkout cannot be guaranteed). When I got there they said checkout would be 2pm. I pushed them and they agreed to 4pm, but that was the maximum.

I wonder how many people actually get the 6pm checkout? I know it's relatively small part of the overall deal, but it's a bit sneaky to advertise it as an integral part of the package but then not be able to honour it.

So if you're booking and this is an important part of it for you - beware, it might not happen (and they can't tell you until you check-in).

30% off offer on Hilton with American Express at the moment.

Also if you become a member of Hilton HHonors there is currently a promotion to earn double points for each stay or one free night certificate after 10 nights within the promotion dates of April 6 - June 30.

PM me if you would like referral, as this gives us both a bonus 1000 points!

Can I just ask, do Hilton charge for parking at all of their hotels, regardless of location? I stayed at one 9 miles or so outside of Bristol, on an industrial estate and there was a £5 parking charge????? Neither the duty manager or the manager were bothered about my complaint either. Just one to watch out for when booking a Hilton hotel, Room Rate + parking fee, talk about taking liberties......
