    Count me in please.

I'm going by 5 Fridays in the month so aim for £250 for the month.

Thats for 2 adults, 2 kids (big eaters), 2 cats and a parrot.

It's to include all food/drink, toiletries, pet food, cleaning junk.

Going to meal plan for the month and get the store cupboards built up again.

Is it only me that finds that Tescos have stopped doing value pasta, Asdas prices seem to change weekly and there's never any offers on to suit me in Morrisons....I seem to need to shop in 5 different places just to get things at a reasonable price.

    Hello everyone,

I would like to join this challenge as I have been looking at it for a while and decided the new year was a good time for me to start. I am setting a total of £100 for Jan starting 29/12 to 27/1. Here's hoping I can manage and I have bought a new spending diary to help me keep track of how much I have spent. Good luck everyone for hitting your targets!

P.S Forgot to mention the budget is for me and OH and for food and household products (I'm doing my 100 day no cosmetics/beauty products challenge already!)

  • Hi

Can I join too? Looking at all the replies so far, I definitely need to as my budget is HUGE compared to everyone elses! My OH is a real foodie, so I'm going to have to be subtle when reducing our spending - he's also the cook (lucky me!), so will notice if I make drastic cuts.

So, please count me in for £600 for January (2 adults, 3 teenagers, 2 cats) and off we go!

    Hi
Please can you put me down for £180 for Jan. I've slightly upped it to allow for the big price hikes and I shall see how I go from there.
Good luck everyone and a very Happy New Year:j

  • Hi, i'm new to this so please bear with me. could i join this please. don't know how much i normally spend so can i be put down for £300 for 2 adults, 1 dd, 1 dog. fish and 4 chickens.
  • Hi

    Can I join in please?

I am being mean with myself in January so my budget is £100 for groceries. I need to make up for overspending over Christmas!

I am planning an alcohol free month so that should be a saving and in addition, I already have enough cat food/litter, babywipes, cleaning products and toiletries. Although I am saying £100 for the month, I am trying to think in terms of £20 per week and will add up as I go round the shops. Also planning to make sure I take a packed lunch to work on the 3 days I work instead of managing once or twice like before. Good luck guys :)
