Happy New Grocery Challenge Year everyone.

I'm still in December but don't think 'll be spending much - too many leftovers to use up first.

Will declare on the Dec thread on Wednesday and see you all after that on here.

    Good luck everyone!!
  • Hi Everyone!!!
We've spent just over £5 of our new budget but have most things in already to cover our meal planning in January. Also used a £5 gift voucher from tesco.
Will be spending M and S vouchers on BOGOFs there and anything which seems good value.
Planning to spend only £70 this month to fit in with our £4K challenge.
    Have a fantastic January everyone!!!

I started this at the beginning of this year but just completely forget in about March. I still saved about £200 in a pot though for the year having a budget of £175 for the month.

Anyway am going to start afresh for January so please put me down for £175 for the month.

  • Right, let's try this. Hopefully I'll be able to make this month's target of £160. Good luck, everyone, even though it'll begin for me on January 1st. I'm getting ready now. :D

Can you please put me down for £280, I think getting £289 something twice my budget is telling me something so will push myself a little and see if I can crack the £280 barrier

Our budget is for 2 adults, 2 children, dog, lizard and fish. Includes all food, toiletries and cleaning stuffs (takeaways/eating out aswell)

Good luck everyone and Happy New Year!
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200

Thanks for including me Mrs M (wasn't sure if it was enough to post at the end of December's thread or not  but it obviously was!)

Just done an inventory of the NEWLY DEFROSTED freezer....Yay! and there's enough in there to last us for weeks - only me and DD1 (13) and DD2 (10) and they eat their main meals either with their childminder or their dad.

Halfway through the inventory of the storecupboard and found allsorts of random items so off to Store Cupboard Challenge thread.

Spent £9.43 in Mr Ts yesterday but that should do me for a good while...NSD day as well today!!
Anywhere is within walking distance - if you have the time!!
  • I totally messed up December's budget but aim to do better this year. My month runs from payday to payday which this month is Dec 31st to Jan 29th.

My January target will be £250
