  • Hi, first shop today of the second Months money.

Really cross with myself. I went to Asda's and spent £74.98 and then went to use my 10% discount card (my son works there) only to find I didn't have it. Thats £7.40 wasted bah!

'Me' money this week £25 on a January special (reduced from £40) detox special wrap and relaxation body massage/treatment. It was wonderful and lasted over an hour.

Had to pay carpenter for work today but he charged £60 which was £20 less than his estimate.

Also ordered new dishwasher (3rd attempt, giving up with cheap online deals, they never materialise) but not counting that as a spend as I put it on credit card
  • Finally declaring Januarys grocery spending as:
    Groceries: £457.51/£6000
    Very happy with that!
Just emptied out my purse for the new month and can now have my new 1/12 of the annual budget! So Ive got £500 for Febs groceries plus £42.49 so a total of
£542.49. This is a good figure as there is an AF food order awaiting in Dans backlog so Ive enough money for that as well as normal spends.
Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults

Mine's not good at all. I wasn't well enough to go out today but the teenagers wanted haircuts, shoes, violins etc (all the necessities;)) so DH took them. They came back with things like pizzas and TWO coolboxes full of frozen stuff for me to shoehorn into my poor groaning freezers. So I'm declaring at £556.62/£3000:eek:

At least they brought lots of whoopsies though. Last week I posted the menu plan for the next 7 weeks on the notice board. Now I'll have to take it down and rejig it, to take account of all the new things that have to be eaten in sequence because there's no more freezer space:rolleyes:. Still - in theory we could now survive without leaving the village till April (just in case we have another year like 1947...:rotfl:)

I am declaring £460.45, but it has been a 5 week month for me so its not bad really  .

This is my first month at doing this so I'm gonna be more prepared for feb. Bring it on
I used to suffer from lack of motivation.... now I just can't be arsed.

  • Mrs M - please put me down for £180 which is not very good as I am twenty pounds over budget on this. I did buy 40 tins of special offer beans though;). To be honest I started buying stuff out of the February budget yesterday but that isn't in the figure above.
I am going to the Feb post now where I will try again with £160

    Thanks

  • Hi I would like to declare for January at £333.54. This is over but includes £45.00 we spent on the 31st on meals out as friends had treated us to a weekend away before #2 in born (they also had DS for the weekend :A) and we felt we would just enjoy ourselves and make the most of the time together and to go to a very good restaurant. As I am also looking at our spends for the year this shouldn't effect things to badly.

  • I'm declaring for January at £100.11 which is 11p over, but got lots in. Have also spent £18.44 on my stockpile, hoping to get a lot more for that this month.

Please can you put me down for a target of £100 in February as well, thank you very much.
