  • I don't think Boots will start the Sale early - in store at least as at my local the stuff is flying of fthe shelves, then they are stocking up again! Couldn't even get out of the car park there today for 30 minutes due to all the people trying to go shopping there. Think whilst people are still buying they will not start the sale early.

Lol- there are how many boots shoppers on this site? we should all have a pact to not buy any sales stock until the 14th so there are some good buys when the 75% comes along!

Is it me of is the boots sale NOT as good as it used to be.

I remember about 3 years ago i went into boots at the ''beginning'' of january and got bags and bags full of TOYS for ridiculously stupidly low prices. The main one was a puppet theatre which i got for £4.00 reduced from £35 and all the puppets fr £2.00 instead of £10.00, plus i got loads more and put them away to get out through the year as my boy grew and developed.

Now all the sale seems to be is gift sets and fragrance with seasonal toys. And they have only reduced a small selection of the toys, which i was very disapointed to see when i went on boxing day, and it was really hard to figure out if it was in the sale or not. So i left it this year.

Are all the S&G sets still MIA. I think MR B has realised that he can take the full size products out of the boxes and sit them on the shelves individually, throw away the packaging and make more money that way throughout the year.

And i too have seen creme eggs in boots today, which is good cos i LOVE cream eggs especially in my home made ice cream and i get points when buying them too. hehehe

I got an advantage card around 2 years or so! (Oh the shame).
Before that I couldn't understand what all the fuss was about. Then, I got a points card, used the ACMs, etc, now I can spot a good deal a mile off! :rotfl:
But last year I was not quite so clued up and honestly cannot remember if the Jan sale was any good or not. What sort of things tend to still be around at 75% sale time.

All the stuff that NO one wants :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I've had a card for about 6 years, didnt use it for 2 years lived no where near a boots to be able to use it and had no net access. Since september last year i managed to get a total of £238 worth of points  all by only buying stuff i needed, like nappies, wipes, a pushchair, and everyday essentials mainly online to make the most of codes, plus getting gifts on glitches instore especially when the pinkies were around and of course the infamous OOTW's with mega points weekends.

Do boots sell anything for insomniacs??? Preferably something natural that works.

Whatever you do do not take nytol- even the herbal variety! it seriouly contributed to my insomnia! Valerian is supposed to work (doesn't for me but may work for you) otherwise there are candles, incense, pillow sprays (think there is atleast 1 by radox anyway) and then there are energy pills- incase you give up and decide to clean the house/go for a run insted...!:rotfl:

Thanks for the advice everyone. I had selected a gift set and the body lotion but the sa told me that points can't be used to purchase gift sets or special offers on the Clarins counter. Now I'm really annoyed as I so wanted to treat my dd.

I don't tell the SA that I want to pay with points until the last possible moment (once they have told me how much - I have spent the rest of the time arguing with myself that I should be spending them:rotfl: )

SA then has to either accept the points as payment or cancel the transaction ;)
