Hello all! Right, here is my updated list of things I'm doing/done for the month of January. I've run out of money now (well and truely over my o/d limit too) so have £43.03 in my purse and an emergency £75 available on my Barclaycard (I know I shouldn't use cards anymore but needs might must this month!) I've also got some spare change knocking around and 5 euros but not sure how much that is worth! I'm doing a mystery shop tomorrow afternoon at a supermarket so will be getting bread, milk and toilet roll and then another during the week so should keep the basics in and get some pennies back for getting them! If food gets a bit tight I've got £45 of Waitrose/John Lewis vouchers so could resort to spending some of that, although not very cost effective and not my most fav way of spending my Christmas presents...

27 December - [STRIKE]Complete court expenses form and post for when I had to appear as a witness last month DONE! £21 [/STRIKE]
    28 December - [STRIKE]list at least 3 things on e-bay[/STRIKE]Done! 3 handbags!
29 December - [STRIKE]pay in coppers and coins and use it to make extra payment on barclaycard bill [/STRIKE]Part done, I've paid in £14.00 in coppers but not sure Barclaycard is the best place to make my overpayment... It might do me better to leave it where it is but will have a proper look later on, when at work!
30 December - [STRIKE]List books for sale on amazon/green metropolis [/STRIKE] - did Playtrade in the end
31 December - [STRIKE]dig out old mobiles from dusty drawers and get envirofone prices[/STRIKE] Part done already! 27/12 one phone via Quidco/cashinmyphone - £16.60
1 January - day with boyfriends family, I'll settle for a no spend day! FAILED
2 January - [STRIKE]make sure SOA is finished and accurate (gulp) - I know its the most important but it'll scare me off if I do that just yet! [/STRIKE] + NSD
3 January - Cancel free trial of credit file thing - phoneline blinkin closed, and cant do via email. Had a NSD instead though!:money:
4 January - [STRIKE]find all my mystery shopping log-in details and attempt to find some [/STRIKE]DONE! and post ebay sold items - hopefully! Realised its a Sunday so can't post but shall package and get them ready. *[STRIKE]Complete mystery shop too[/STRIKE]*:j
5 January - Do a complete store cupboard and freezer check, only food shop for essentials, online using free delivery codes (need to find some) and via Quidco...
6 January - List three more things on ebay
7 January - got through all of my shifts and work out where there is any possibility for me to do overtime
8 January - [STRIKE]find somewhere free for me and bf to go on our four days of together (9/10/11/12th)[/STRIKE] Now realised that I'm taking my Gran to Gatwick on morning of 11th, at 4am! So days off will be spent at home, sleeping and watching DVDs!

I'm quite pleased I have had 2 NSDs already this month too! Need some more ideas for my days off next week. I need to do some reading and research for my job interviews so perhaps I shall print off loads of stuff at work to bring home and read. Also, was given a box of odds and ends by a friend who has moved out of his flat so I might be able to eBay a few bits too. Might get an hour or two of overtime this week too with any luck!

Waffling over now... hmm, need to get up in 5 and a half hours but I'm not sleepy!
  • You might be able to bag a couple of free cinema tickets for your days off, check the Freebies board.

You are doing really well with long list so far, well done.

    Evening All!

Get this - I've made homemade soup! And it isn't revolting either! I shall be taking it to work this week, probably got enough for two portions (didn't go crazy just in case it was a disaster!)

Did my MS and got in toilet roll, cereal, milk and treated(?) myself to a curry! Spent £7.11 of which I shall get £3.00 back plus assessor fee and mileage so I am pleased with todays activities. Found 17p at work and got bought a nice coffee by a colleague so it was a good first shift back of the year.

eBay items finish at 2200 so hoping to stay awake long enough to see how much I make, got lots of watchers now! Yippeeeee!

I hope not too many people have Sunday night blues, it was a shock to the system for me to get up at 0500 and scrape the ice off this morning for sure...

    Evening all,

Slow day today... only went and broke my toe today too, not good!

SRM - Don't know him by name but I probably know his face!

I haven't managed to make any money today, but equally I haven't spent any either! Looks like I will be at home for the next few days so hopefully a cheap week!
