Yeah, i was looking into the visa situation. It seems with a bit of effort and money i could just about get one in time. But back at the holiday page, there's dodgy stuff lurking in the small print:
    1. Prices are Per Person, based on two adults sharing a standard room on the board basis specified.
    2. All prices are for guidance only and will be confirmed at the time of booking.

I think we're going to try Egypt at the end of March....done Canaries to much in the last few years, plus it will only be 'warm' there, rather than guaranteed 'hot' in Egypt.

Suggested Taba to the missus...she said 'wasn't there a bomb there?', so maybe it won't be Egypt....

I did say 'yes, but there was one in London as well'...

The bomb went off at the Hilton at Taba Village, which is a border crossing with Israel. I've stayed there (before bomb) and would go back tomorrow. Most of the development at Taba is now at a place called Taba Heights which is about 30 miles (maybe kms) from Taba Village. It is in in the middle of nowhere. I've stayed at the Hyatt Regency there and wouldn't go back. My favourite place on the Sinai is Naama Bay - that is Naama Bay "proper", not all the places that have sprung up around it which need a taxi to get into Naama.

Are holidays in Israel likely to go down in price at the current time?

  • Have you had a look on the Thomascook website. They have got a really easy holiday search planner on there. I've just had a quick look and there is a 14 night holiday to Egypt on the 8th of Jan flying from Manchester for £370 B&B including all supplements.. I don't know if this is a good price though..

Hi. I've tried that site thanks.

The problem is, as a solo traveller i have to pay double the price (as holiday prices from those sites are based on 2 people sharing).
