right click on the desktop, personalise, top option on the box that comes up, click windows classic in the drop down box and click ok.
click click click...sounds simple enough, I reckon even I do do that..:rotfl:0 -

with the jumping about and 'not a mouse' i'm guessing you're on a laptop. The mouse pad can be annoying but thats more laptop than Vista. It does th same you me, if you catch it whilst typing it moves the curser for you.
With left clicking before you start typing, thats not a new feature either. You need to click to make sure your curser is in the right place whatever OS you're on.
highlighting text - same as with a mouse. Put the curser at the start (or end) of what you want to highlight, press and hold the left 'mouse' button on the mouse pad and drag the pad over the text you want to highlight. Then either click the right mouse pad button for the menu or CTRL & C is copy, CTRL & V is paste and CTRL & X is cut.
(i picked up a Trust wireless mouse for about a fiver from Asda.... hell of a lot easier than the mouse pad)
Thank you Gypsy. I am getting more used to it and I realised after posting that clicking to position the cursor was the same, it was just that I am not used to it. I have now opened my new mouse and am working faster. Also, I realised the highlighting was the same.0 -
pretty much everything is the same. it just looks a bit different that's all..0

Sounds good, pity I don't know anyone with a business a/c at PCW or I'd have nabbed them before now!
Watch right now at PC world.
My brother went in the other week with me. Wanted to but a laptop ofr his daughter.
Recomended Advent by PCW staff. To be honest it was the best spec for £300.
Went to business section and saw a leaflet with a better toshiba (toshiba have an excellent...no quibble warranty...even on an ebay purchace :-) I know)
Anyway the machine was out of stock but when he searched for a similar item.... up came the same machine with the same manufacturer codes but £70 more expensive.
When we asked this the "very Helfull" chap said.... damn that will be the pre christmas price increase.
We are doing that for a lot of models apart from our own brand. Then after christmas we can say that we are selling the Toshiba at £70 off... but is is only down to the same price as just now. A total rip off.
Went next door to Office workd and got a decent machine for 249 ex vat. :-)
Cheers
