Interested in the ghd discussion re paypal. I am in dispute with paypal as I received two pairs of very fake Ugg's (ordered for my daughters' Christmas) from www.uggshow.com (or yuhongtiandi@yahoo!!!!!!!! !! on the invoice!). I didn't realise they were fake until the girls saw them- they weren't even suede and certainly not sheepskin...
I tried the firm with no response and then Paypal three times who say, as it was not bought on e bay they can't help as they have no way of proving whether the goods received were as described. They will only open up the case again if others make the same complaint against the seller. They are washing their hands- I would never use Paypal again.
Has anyone else bought from this company? Can I get my money back?:rolleyes:0 -

There is no claim at all on paypal for item not as described unless you go through ebay. Outside of ebay only claims of non arrival are dealt with. However, if you bought trademarked Ugg boots stated as being the Australian ones then you have posisbly got some recourse legally via small claims if you can get written evidence they are fakes. However Ugg is not a trademark in itself so you need to check what you were told you were getting before you lay out any money on legal claims.
You might also want to do a form search on here for Ugg as there is aome really interesting info.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thanks for this info. The boots are trademarked Uggs. I researched the forum info on fake uggs (too late admittedly!) and they are an absolute match- even with the R in pretty much the right place. Stupid of me to not realise theywere not sheepskin...My problem is that the company do not respond to any of my e mails and paypal, who obviously have their details (is that right?) are not helping in any way. 0 -

Paypal will not do anything for significantly not as described claims unless item was bought on Ebay.
Assuming seller is in the UK you can try talking to trading standards with a view to persuing seller through small claims, or if you backed your paypal payment by credit card you might try talking to the card issuer to see if they can help.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I too bought two pairs of fake boots from uggshow. Paypal refused to refund; however I am now in the process of chargeback. I really hope I get my money back as the boots have now been given away as very very poor fake ugg boots.0
