Nobody accused Mandles of having a go Andy. Your comment about state benefits doesn't even make sense?!

It does if you look through his post history, he's one of the current trolls. My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -

Thanks for letting me know faye:rolleyes::D2013 wins: Valentine's book giveaway:T0 -
Sorry to bump but I have an UNBELIEVABLE update!
Even though Ebay has confirmed the account was hacked by a third party, this third party (a Chinese criminal) has sent a package and provided a tracking number.
It's guaranteed that the GHD's will be counterfeit. Not only that, but Paypal are refusing to listen and I will have to PAY out of my own pocket to send the package back to China in the hope of getting a (much diminished) refund!!!
Not really fair is it considering (to my knowledge) I bought the item from a lady in Yorkshire with 100% positive feedback!
Does anyone know if it's worth contacting the police or even the small claims court?2013 wins: Valentine's book giveaway:T0 -
I haven't a clue to the next stage bit hopefully some of the others will be along with some advice.
Have you received the package? If not then they can't prove delivery and if it comes refuse delivery. These would be my first two strategies.
Good luck.0 -
I would log what is called a Visa Dispute with your bank. They may reject it but at least you have tried. It's fraud so I'd think you'd be successful. Make sure you get something in writing from Ebay to confirm your account was hacked into.Originally Posted by Dr Cuckoo3

OP is not the one who has had their account hijacked, the seller has. Also OP paid by debit card and has already treid his bank with no success.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. The package arrived about 20 mins ago while I was at the supermarket. My Dad signed for it aaagh!!!
Anyway, they are indeed very fake.
In addition, on the delivery notes, the sender's name, address and contact details have all been left blank....so I don't know Paypal expect me to send them back?!?!
AAAAAGH!:mad:2013 wins: Valentine's book giveaway:T0 -
I always thought that if you took them to Trading Standards and got a letter off them stating that they are fake, you can then use that in a dispute without having to send them back (as I also thought that you were NOT allowed to send counterfeit goods back)0

The problem(s) here are that the Counterfeit goods have arrived from China and Paypal have their own rules. Seeing as they are now based in Luxembourg, they are not following British duristiction.
Unless anyone knows any better?

I am pretty sure that I have seen people on here do it that way, I think there was something in the last week about a fake Nintendo DS. Best thing to do is phone trading standards and ask them.0
