MRSMCAWBER you have a lot more patience than I do, but it is a beautiful picture and I am sure it will look gorgeous when you complete it.*~* My life is a little mystery that I am still trying to solve*~*0

Thankyou everyone for the lovely comments
s_michaels..Im not known for being patient:o -but for some reason when it comes to x stitch Im really good, although I can stitch fairly quickly :T -
I have just finished the bouquet bit :j
My mum is a x-stitcher too -so at least I know she will appretiate what goes into it
She is working on this biggy at the moment (me and 1 brother got it for mothers day a couple of years ago) and I have placed dibbs on the pattern when she has done-plus she is throwing in all the threads

Oh wow that is another beaautiful picture, looks so delicate. My mum used to be really into her x-stitch. She did have a bit of a needle accident though, she put the needle into the arm of the sofa, sat down put her arm down and the needle went into her wrist. Unfortunately a bit broke off as well and she had to have an operation!!!
She's ok now though, I'm trying to convince her to get back into it as she's not done it for years due to getting re-married and moving. She has this beautiful santa picture that I really wish she'd finish.
If I convince her to finish it I'll get her to take a photo so I can show you all.
Sorry for such a long post lol*~* My life is a little mystery that I am still trying to solve*~*0 -

Oh my god -I have done that too  -luckily there was enough sticking out to get the tweezers on..after my eyes had stopped watering-god did it hurt... mind it stopped me sticking the needle there again
I have a santa one to do -amongst others..I have several to finish though before I allow myself to start another:rolleyes:
The bird table is supposed to be done all in single thread -but my mum has done one like that before and doesn't like the result -so she is doing it in double thread -which meant buyin just over 100 colours to do it -which is why i am going to have enough threads left to do it too :T -although I'm thinking of breaking the picture down into smaller individual picture so I don't have the same pic as my mum-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Well i think what ever you decide to do it will look amazing as you are very talented.
I haven't done a x-stitch in years, might have to find a cheap small one and give it a go.*~* My life is a little mystery that I am still trying to solve*~*0 -

Once again lovely picture!!!*~* My life is a little mystery that I am still trying to solve*~*0 -
I don't know if anyone saw but I made a little scottie dog and filled him with pot pourri. He didn't come out very well and now I want to make one and stuff it with teddy filling. I really wanted them to be drawer scents but now don't know how to go about making them smell nice.
Any suggestions?*~* My life is a little mystery that I am still trying to solve*~*0 -
Hello again
How about adding a couple of drops of essential oil on a cotton ball and popping it in the middle of the stuffing(so the oil doesn't stain the outer fabric) ... or what about those pefume samples you get in magazines -the ones like squares of paper..ooohhh or how about a tumble drier sheet scrumpled up..now you have me started:rotfl:-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Brilliant ideas !! i did think about a few drops of essential oil but the other ideas are just as great!!!*~* My life is a little mystery that I am still trying to solve*~*0
