Hey all, have run out of my lovely food gift bags and I wondered if anyone knew where I could get some more from? Cellophane type ones with twisty ties to do them up, don't want to pay too much but want something to put my 'perfect man' in, I have the biscuits but no bags!God is good, all the time

I'm also in need of some of these, did see some "gussetted" ones in Lakeland's catalogue a while back.
I'm also looking for nice little boxes to out homemade cakes, chocolates and biscuits etc in. DOes anyone know where I might find some? Seems gift boxes have vanished where I live:j Baby boy arrived 22nd August 2012 :j

Thanks sethsgran,
I actually found some good cones on e-bay for by snowman soups but I just want some bags for the 'perfect man'. They have some in Hobbycraft which have a Christmas print on but it wouldn't be suitable as it isn't a clear bag. I want something about 15-20 cm tall and about 10cm wide which can be sealed off at the top, the ones I had before used a silver twisty tie and were clear cellophane with some white swirls on.
I have been using normal sandwich bags for my foodie offerings but I wanted the 'perfect man' to look better as it is for a silly stocking filler etc rather than just for people to munch on.
Any ideas?God is good, all the time

Feel like I should sound a siren or something but... IT'S NEXT WEEK! CHRISTMAS IS NEXT WEEK! AAAAAAAAAAARGH!
Youngest dropped that bombshell as she got out of the car this morning, I laughed and then sort of choked as I realised!
Best sign in a shop I've seen this year went along the lines of:
We would like to mention that Christmas falls on the 25th of December this year. We bring this to the attention of our customers who have been caught unawares in previous years by it's impending arrival.
That would be me then!:rotfl::staradminHuuuuuuge thank you hugs to all posters:staradmin0 -

It may be no help, if you don't live near one, but I buy my sweet cases in Julian Graves. I think they were 99p for 100. I like their cake cases too - they seem to hold their shape better than most.
thanks for that parapusher - I've just checked them out on the internet OMG I'm gonna spend a fortune
Got some really nice jars at the weekend from the poundshop - they're kinda like this but they have ridges and are two tone coloured in red and gold (they also have blue and yellowish ones). I thought they were really Christmassy. I got them and some ribbon to tie round them for my sweets. They're a good size if anyone is looking.
These might be of use to you little_miss_moneysaver (they did have gift boxes etc too)0 -
Thanks PepPop I went to both £1 and 99p at the weekend, but will check out my local ones asap!
Well today I did a few bits. Made 15 Snowman soups. Have made only one tag but have all the bits of card ready to stick together for the others. Also put the marzipan on my Christmas cakes and made chocolate biscotti enough for about 8 people. Doesn't seem much when I write it like that. Anyway here is a pic of the soups so far:j Baby boy arrived 22nd August 2012 :j

I'm stuck for something to make for a 13 yr old boy I used to foster. He was here last year and loved helping me do pots of gold and all that sort of stuff. He's coming to see us on Friday and I'd like to give him something but am at a bit of a loss
Can't really give him something that he used to help me make last year.....any ideas
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Just wanted to say there's been an amazing amount and variety of crafts posted on here. I've only made one crochet scarf as a gift this year but have loads of ideas for next year.
Hope this thread runs again! Well done everyone, you put me to shame...0 -
