Feeling a bit sorry for myself as tried to do the light vase thing today and I cant get it to look how I want it to. :(
I am also a bit worried as the lights are quite hot, I can burn my hands if I put them against the vase. they wont be a fire hazzard against the pot pourri would they?
in such a foul mood at the moment for lots of reasons but really wanted this to look nice. I know I will have to have a go at it again tomorrow or when my head is feeling happier :o

Pammy - Sorry to hear you're feeling so miserable. Life has its ups and downs and yours will bounce back up again. In the meantime look after your health, be really kind to yourself and take things gently.
  • hello.

cant beleive how close it is to christmas. not much to do now, just all these last minute bits and bobs!

have finished my kids sweet jars

girls are getting snowballs and christmas kisses (whte bon bons and lip sweets)
and boys are getting reindeer poo and snowballs (choc raisins and white bon bons)

Finished my bookmarks last week. Had problems getting them through the laminator - they were a bit thick - so my other half popped them between two tea towels and ironed them. worked fairly well. just need to add some tassels to them maybe (if i have time!!)

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Name Dropper Combo Breaker
Don't know if anyone wants them, but I have about 150+ small amererto(sp) biscuits - the little baked sugar ones that are served on the side with coffee. I got a box of 300 and have used them in my snowman soups and in rocky road/chocolates.

They make really nice rocky road but need to be eaten January (as per sell by as they don't have a use by on them)

I can't see myself using them, but if anyone wants a handful, or indeed the whole lot, as long as you cover postage and say if you don't mind them broken (as will need a padded envelope to ensure not broken up) then pm me and I'll send you a bunch.
Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. Anne Lamott

It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?

Please consider buying some pet food and giving it to your local food bank collection or animal charity. Animals aren't to blame for the cost of living crisis.

I soo wish I had the time to make all these lovely things. I kepp on buying things in the hope that will make me find more time but I just can't see it happening. At present, I have 3 shadow boxes, 2 clock frames and 3 door hangers to make. I soo want to make the snowman spares - I have bought the tic tacs but not got any further.
I've posted a link to the (only) shadow box I've made in case you're wondering what they are. - its for my Granny and contains a picture of her and my Grandad when they first met - she's the one on the right. He sadly died a couple of years ago and I inherited all the old photos.
