Sorry only just scrolled up and saw this! The reindeer food has hundreds and thousands/sugar strands mixed with oats (breakfast cereal) - the first batch i did had glitter in until i thought about the environmental aspect of it :eek:

The stamp is from Crafters Companion and was part of the christmas set last year - theres a link on my blog to the CC site but i will see if i can find a direct link to the actual stamp set

I bought several books over the years that have had the same done to them but with chunky sisal twine holding them together. they look great when decorated to a 'natural' theme and might be easier to get hold of than metal rings.

Just been and bought the wood, they cut it for free also, to make some of these for christmas decorations It is vinyl stuck on the wood. My daughter is cutting the vinyl for me. Some blocks have all 6 sides with vinyl on but I might do 5 and put a felt square on the bottom. What do you think.

ebaybaby - you can buy book rings from ebay or any good craft store. The beauty of them is that you can get different sizes.

ariarnia - good idea, hadn't thought of that one.

I can't find any photos of the ones I've made before, laptop probs recently, but as soon as I do I will post.
