Managed to get a great bargain today in Tesco; Le Crueset dishes and storage jars at 75% off so I got 3 jars at £4 each, thought that would make a nice gift for the really special people with some homemade fudge in (have just bought a sugar thermometer to try making fudge, don't want to do it too early or I'll eat it all!). Also got 2 dishes for £3.75 each but think they might have to stay mine, should have got more as they would have been a great gift with a recipe book and some herbs etc in, not sure if all tescos will have them in...God is good, all the time

Wheezysmith they are fantastic I really love the pegs. Don't mean to be rude as I love them but what would you use them for please?
We use a lot of pegs in our house for holding packets closed, e.g. fresh coffee
They would also be great for those winter socks and Wellies, you could name one for each person in a family and then when they come in all wet they can peg them over the radiator. Also good for attaching cards to a piece of string to hang them up or attaching your stockings to a garland over the fireplace...
Rubbish, now I want some!God is good, all the time

butterfly what about looking in charity shops for kids wooden blocks?
I was really lucky with mine. Ordered the blue one to pick up from the Ally Pally show in September. When I got there to pick it up it had fallen off the van and smashed so they gave me the new pink one at the same price as the blue one. Got mine from Scrapshed (www.scrapshed.co.uk) worth signing up to their newsletter as they quite regularly send out discount codes
Blimey got so much of this thread to catch up on - loving the Le Creuset idea - goingt o Tesco today will have a look.:staradminHuuuuuuge thank you hugs to all posters:staradmin0 -
Another idea for the wooden blocks if you can find them is the Clicker Clacker (don't know the proper name) really really easy to make but so effective - excuse the dodgy vid it was my first tutorial
Instructions here on my blog
This site is quite good for wooden bits - http://www.craftshapes.co.uk/cat_woodenblocks.htm:staradminHuuuuuuge thank you hugs to all posters:staradmin0 -

You're very welcome.
I do hope this thread starts up again next year as I've left it so late this year.
I'm hoping to make my girls a fairy in a box each using Fimo or something similar and making a little chest out of the Dove hinged soap boxes. The only thing stopping me is the wings. Does anyone have any idea at all what I would make them out of? Something delicate but sturdy enough to be handled and attached to the body?:staradminHuuuuuuge thank you hugs to all posters:staradmin0 -
Would fantasy Film work or is it too delicate for wings.Nothing Changes if Nothing Changes0
