I bought this little gift for you
    I thought it was unique
I bet you can;t gess what it is
    So trendy and so chic
You'll never get caught short again
Now that you have this chum
    He's charmin' and he's funny
And he'll help you wipe your *** !!!!

I wrapped mine in silver paper, stuck the verse on one side, ribbon stuck on top and I did eyes and lips as well. OH thought it was a hoot !!

Money is scarce and times are hard,
So I'm giving you this, instead of a card.
Christmas cards are a bit of a farce,
But this will be handy, for wiping your .... nose!

and this one wich i love. hope they help
back to comping in 2017, fingers crossed

i thinks its on page 4 or 5 of this thread thats where i found it, OH doesnt think id sell to many but looking at this thread they are a hit, i can get 36 loo rolls for £6 so going to give them a try. will try and find the poem again and post it but i dont know how to do links to certain pages.

I think it is definitely one of those things where if they don't sell you haven't lost much, you'll always be able to use loo roll :)

i went to the local bootsale today, it also has market stalls and one lady was selling crystals. i really wanted to make one of those friendship boxes where you are not supposed to open the box but theres stuff inside if you do and one of the poems needed green adventurine for luck and rose quartz for love - well what did i find but both the types i needed - not only that but they were in a box with an icecream scoop and the lady charged me 10p per scoop. now i have loads of crystals to make friendship boxes although i'm only planning on making 3 :) i'm so chuffed with my 20p bargains today as i though that would be the most difficult top get and most expensive part of the whole box woo hooo :) lol

Brilliant poem for loo roll................might have to 'borrow' that one. Not sure if I'm doing any this year but it'll keep in my folder.

also, can any of you very crafty ladies help me?
I want to make a scrapbook for my sister as part of her xmas present. she has spent 4 months in south east asia this year (yes I am very jealous) and I wanted to put together photobook of some of her best photos as she only looks at them via facebook at the moment. I thought a cheaper and more personal option would be to make her a scrapbook instead but having looked at the cost of scrapbook albums I thought I could save more pennies by making some sort of front and back cover to keep the pages together but I have no idea where to start and what I would need.

I make cards so I am confident I can make a few scrapbook pages (although I have never actually done this before) but not sure how I would keep them together IYKWIM.

thanks in advance for your help :T
    x

I am a scrapbooker but with funds tight this year and a couple to make I have found that if you make the front and back cover from thick card, punch holes with a regular hole punch and use book rings to hold it together it does just as good a job. You can decorate the book rings with ribbon/fibers to add extra interest and colour. if you're anything like me and keep all off cuts/small pieces you could put them to good use.......if none of this makes sense please let me know and I'll see if I can find some pictures of one's I've already made!!!

Do you think they would be quite easy to make? Think they would look lovely on the Christmas table
