    I used this verse ......

Money is scarce and times are hard,
So I'm giving you this, instead of a card.
Christmas cards are a bit of a farce,
But this will be handy, for wiping your .... nose!

Thanks for that, my nan is going to LOVE it (just her sense of humour!)

phia - well done - brilliant gifts you've made :T

sethsgran -love the snowmen.:T...........we must have some bits of wood kicking about somewhere

    clarey - love those signs..............brilliant :T

Well, not done much this morning...........painter chap been here all day so all I've done is make a few book marks -bit plain compared to others............still, its using up odd bits of paper and ribbon. Just need to put some sort of embellishments on them.
Won't be doing much tomorrow either
OH had phone call from hospital - his appointments been brought forward to tomorrow at a hospital not so far away (10 miles instead of 22) -the consultant has a clinic there and a space so he can fit him in.
Decent time as well -2.15pm instead of 4.40pm.

So thats tomorrow taken care of. Maybe I'll get more done when thats over and done with

If you don't have the wood simply go to your local timber merchant, not the big DIY chain type, and ask if they have off cuts. They may charge you but it will be a fraction of the cost.

Not crafting but Crown Point Leeds in the pound shop today were chinese lanterns, good price. We have a family party in a few weeks and I have asked everyone to bring 1 or 2 big fireworks so I got a lantern to finish the firework time off.

I had a good idea today whilst out shopping how about just doing this head _44561550_pudsey203.jpg and make a fridge magnet to make money for children in need. You could paint all the pebble yellow, add the eye patch with paint and then use permanent markers to do the details.

Hi all loving all your goodies you are all so talented. Pink fairy love your signs can you tell me what sort of paint you used for them as I have bought some hearts and thought I would make some personalised pressies for Xmas but dont know where to start. Need to keep costs down this year as OH was made redundant earlier in the year.

I had a productive afternoon, I made a wedding towel cake and a Journal book and Journal jar for my Mother, I was pleased as that is one of the bigger projects out of the way!

Does any one has any ideas as to what i could do with white tiles. I have about 100 left over from re-doing our kitchen.

Also what pen do you use on the signs to do the wording, do you use a special pen or an everyday pen. I'd love to make a few.

Saw on another forum that people make Christmassy tile coasters. Guess you'd just have to paint them with acrylic and then varnish them?
D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't important

How about a little design - maybe use stickers - then adding a whiteboard pen as a mini reminder board - put some of those felt pads under each corner and keep by the phone.
