Everyone seems to have been so busy and got so much done...............been on a training course all day so any crafting today has gone out the window.
Painter coming tomorrow so not sure how much I'll get done and forgotten now what I've got left to do except bookmarks, couple of flannel reindeer and try and make a cupcake out of friends fluffy bedsocks.
Oh and some 'special' christmas cards for sons and grandchildren.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

  • I bought these for the friendship boxes and they are great. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Small-Wooden-Storage-Jewellery-Craft-Trinket-Box_W0QQitemZ370268696805QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Home_Garden_Decorative_Accents_LE?hash=item5635bbf0e5&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 You can decorate them or just leave them plain. They are out of stock at the moment but if you send her a message then she'll let you know when they are back in stock. Or you could but the medium size one but I preferred the small ones. I ordered them on Sat night and they were delivered today. HTH

are any of you struggling to find pots for your pots of gold? Do they have to be gold pots or just pots filled with gold?

oh and if you google pot of gold it looks a bit like a cauldron, I know there's loads of cheap plastic ones in the shops what with halloween so does anyone think they'd work?

I made Pots of gold last year for my daughters teachers and classroom helpers and for her Grannies all her aunties.

I used black ceramic plant pots from Ikea (tht they could at least use them afterwards, give them some bulbs to plant) and they actually looked quite good.

Actually got my mum a nice plant for mothers day that ended up in this pot

    Contents were:
Gold tissue to pack out bottom
    Gold Coins
    Gold Choc Baubles
    Weathers Originals
Asda smart price toffees (gold Wrap)
    Ferrero's
    Gold Choc Bells
    Gold Themed scratch cards

I wrapped in clear cello with some gold shread and ribbon scattered around the bottom.

between the pot and the cello (among the shread) I put some

    Gold Nail Varnish
A small gold Brush & Comb
    A Gold Keyring
    Some Gold Costume Jewelry
    Gold Beaded Bracelet and Necklace
    A few pound coins

A few of each of the above in each one

Finished off with tying with Gold ribbon and a large gold bow, and wrote out the verse on nice gold tags

Bought nearly everything on 3 for 2's so worked out reasonably cheap

Planning to do the same this year so on the lookout for some different cheap gold (ish) things

Had 3 winning scratch cards of £1, £1 and £5
