Well done you on making £100:beer: I hope it continues:DHello everyone, I've lurked on this thread just about since it started and have made many creations you've all listed. Like most people money is very tight this year and my budget is very limited but thanks to all of you and your ideas I have orders for sock monkeys, dammit dolls, and a few photo collages/scrap books and I will net myself about £100 from it all.
Thank you all so much for the inspiration and I hope you all continue to be moneysaving and crafty!!

I am going to make some of these pictures for family members, mum in law etc. You split a picture into 4 equal parts, make sure that the picture you choose doesn't have a face in the centre of the cuts!! My husband will be prepaing the wood boards by routing the grooves here is a similar idea to what I plan to do but mine will be 1 picture cut. The one below is a photo not cut but with added papers to decorate. I am really making a mess of explaining so look here for a better idea of it. http://scribbit.blogspot.com/2009/06/tile-board-crafts.html The resin gives the following glaze to them but I now need to source the resin.

I would like to use a blank canvas I already have to make a handprint poem picture for my ds grandparents. The only problem is my handwriting isn't very good and I wondered if anyone had any good ideas as to how to get a poem onto the canvas. (hope this makes sense). Thanks in advance.0

Maybe print it out on the computer, then use tracing paper to put it onto the canvas and paint over it? Or if you know anyone with nice handwriting, they could write it on and you could paint over itD'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't importantTaste The Rainbow :heartsmil0

I had to laugh last night.
Last year as a stocking filler for DD, I covered a gravy granual tub with Disney Princess wrapping paper and filled it up with chocolate coins, balls and lollies ..... it's still going strong and all year she has used it as a pen pot.
Last night she asked if she could have another one for christmas :rotfl::rotfl:
Well thats one nice cheap present accounted forA creative mess is better than tidy idleness0 -
I am still trying to read my way through this thread! At page 11 and so excited about all the great ideas!Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

sethsgran- followed the link to the blog and came across the story dice which are BRILLIANT! Yet another thing to do for DD! Basically it's plain wooden dice decorated with little pictures on each side - simple things like a cat, sunglasses, a car etc and the child rolls the dice and you make up a story based on those items! Off to check hobbycraft website for wooden dice!:rudolf: Christmas Addict! :rudolf:0

All you do (I think) is print the calendar template, cut them out, stick onto some cardstock or patterned paper x:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
