They had packs of wooden alphabet cubes in HomeBargains - they had a letter of the alphabet on each side but they could easily be covered with photographs or pictures of something else. Plus they came in a little storage bag too, around £2.99 i think from memory but because i wasnt looking specifically for these i didnt take too much notice iykwim so they may be cheaper! :)

sethsgran -love the picture idea :T

What a brilliant idea with the dice..............thats two things for next years list I think.:j

This morning I finished off all four of my cupasoup holders, filled my 'bah humbug' jars up with mint humbugs, made couple of gift bags for stuff I'd got yesterday and did two cobweb chasers -so I think I'm getting there.:j
Need to do bookmarks, somehow fold my friends fluffy socks so they fit a cupcake case and I've another two flanned reindeer to do I'd forgotten about
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

right....so far I have made 4 pots of gold using my OHs empty hair gel pots or the box from the forrero roche (sp) and wrapping them in gold material i had left over from uni. printed out a label, hole punched one edge and tied it on with gold ribbon. just gotta get scratchcards now

I filled the bottom of 3 pint glasses with crepe paper wrapped in gold material then on top i poured in gold choc coins and ontop of them silver ones (so it looks slightly like a pint of beer...get it??) printed the barmans prayer thingy. hole punched and tied around the glass. then used a sarnie bag tied tightly at the top with a ribbon and another where you hold the glass to keep the bag close to the pint and attatched a little card with recipients name on

I have painted 2 canvases for my friend

made 3 friendship boxes with little poems and bits inside

3 xmas eve boxes filled with magic baubles/reindeer food/letter from santa etc

1 emergency rations box with plasters/hot choc/long life milk/ketchup/salt/sugar sachets, mini wine, loo roll, headache tablets, takeaway menus etc

and lastly Im attempting to fashion some sort of reindeer from a tube of sweets. covered in brown crepe paper, bendy arms and legs so the base of the tube is its bum so he can sit down. then ill fill with choc raisins closer to the time and attatch antlers/reindeer poo poem etc

now...all i have left are a bunch of baby food jars to make little sweety things for people

    quite proud of myself
