Also what pen do you use on the signs to do the wording, do you use a special pen or an everyday pen. I'd love to make a few.
get some tile paint and paint the tiles d'oh! then smash them all up and glue them to photoframes, mosaic style. file/sand off the rough edges and pop a pic of the kids in the frames. easy, cheap present for family/friends and quite fun to do too.
you can even grout between the tiles if you want to.
or you can paint them after you stick them down if you wish.
i have a couple in my bedroom that i have done, slate grey, white and duck egg blue (altho my tiles were already coloured) and they look really nice0 -

hope this helps you. Thank you for all the compliments. everybodys projects look great. i cant wait for christmas. i hope appreciate the handcrafted stuff. I'm trying to save for my wedding, so this is helping a lot.
I thought that was the pens you used, but thank you so much dor the tips and links. I think were gonna have fun making these.

He he thats a good one. Yeh, i needed some inspiration when i started them, so i had a wee peak round ebay and drew the inspiration from some of the stuff i saw there. The ebay one is a good idea.
Everyone is welcome to borrow my ideas.
hope you all have fun. I think i might give the chocolate ones to my sister in laws. I made the chocolate bars out of fimo, wrapped them in some tinfoil, and varnished them with some clear varnish:heartsmil Getting Married 11th June 2011 to the lovely Graham:heartsmilWedding/honeymoon fund so far £69000 -

I was on a plane to America the other day looking in one of those crazy catalogues they have and saw a potentially copyable idea for a gift, it was a casserole dish which you could have personalised to say eg "Sian's kickasserole" and I thought it would be fun to do that on a plain casserole and make up a little kit in it with herbs and spices etc in itGod is good, all the time
Do something that scares you every day
