Just did 3 cheapo little joke pressies..........not exactly crafty though.
I used up 3 of my old pill bottles.......I'd got some joke labels off the internet last year and did 'Chill Pills' for teenage grandson and 'shopaholic' for teenage grandaughter.
This year teenage grandson is getting 'chickmagnet' and his Dad is getting 'Monday morning -Mond-aid'.........his girlfriend is having 'screw housework'
Fill them up with tic tacs of jelly beans and its a cheap and cheerful little extra.
Just have to find one for grandaughter now.:jMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Apologies if this is in the wrong place, but I thought I would come across some experienced crafters here!
I have been trying to get into beaded jewllery making for a couple of years a bit inconsistently! I have found that I really need some more equipment, I have some round nosed pliers, but am I correct in thinking some flat nosed and wire cutters would be useful. Could I get some flat nosed with wire cutters on - would they suffice?
Is there anything else I need and can anyone recommend a good book that I could get from my library. My DD is 11 and thought it would be something we could do together and she could make gifts for christmas presents for friends doing this.0 -

Would you also need long nosed pliers?

I don't do a huge amount of jewellaery making, mostly earings because my daughter can only wear surgical steel earings. I will warn you beads are addictive though, they are so pretty you just have to buy more!0 -
hi, i bought a set of 3 pliers fairly cheaply on ebay. i'm not sure what their proper names are, but oneis long and thin, one cuts wire, and the other is slightly thicker and are curved. looked up mini pliers on ebay for you. hope this helps

My nephew is crazy about sport, aged 10, so I am planning to buy a magnetic board for his room, believe me this boy wants for nothing, and then get my daughter to cut out in vinyl some "stuff" to decorate it and put his name on it also. She has been bought the cricut expression so I am making the most of it, only prob is she lives in the US so I keep emailing her with my list. Any suggestions other than team name and his name in the team colours??
I am alos getting her to cut out "Let it Snow" then some someflakes. I will decorate an Ikea glass jar then layer cookie mixture in the jar nearer the time, these are more married nieces/nephews. http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_UFIisrhjocg/SZzgi_oL5tI/AAAAAAAAAKk/_mbpEIcA8mw/s320/vinyl%2Bmagnets.jpg&imgrefurl=http://ferrytalesdecor.blogspot.com/&usg=__1p0z_pV5uloL4bP4hOUYerG_Gzc=&h=240&w=320&sz=12&hl=en&start=5&tbnid=YdUE7kZ9MRQTUM:&tbnh=89&tbnw=118&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dvinyl%2Bcraft%2Blet%2Bit%2Bsnow%26gbv%3D2%26hl%3Den Scroll about half way down for the jars if you don't get sidetracked on the way. My snowflakes will be smaller and more of them but you get the idea.Nothing Changes if Nothing Changes0 -
I am also making 2 bedside lamps, similar to blocks above for a niece and a young friend of mine. Their names will be in pink vinyl, they both love pink, and then vinyl flowers all round the name. I will get mains powered christmas lights to go in the glass block, cute eh/ My daughter is also cutting these for me, Well she did offer as she wants the experience with her new craft machine.
