That explains the crowds of confused looking people around our Corsa Diesel.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Can I ask how old is your corsa and how long have you been running on veg oil? What ratio, 100% even in the winter?
Any one else have a similar car running on veg oil?0 -
P reg, that's about 97 I think. I get the bio diesel locally which has been refined. Last year I ran it at 50% in the winter and 100% in summer. They have since added a winter additive so it should run 100% now, I guess its the same as put into central heating fuel to stop it thickening.. We've had the flu recently so not had a chance to fill up and try it.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

with a pug make sure it has a bosch injector then you are fine for cooking oil. in the summer I would run 30/70 and 50/50 in winter.0

Its possible there's some biodiesel involved but they mainly use recycled cooking oil so I have no problems using it. I don't want to use plain biodiesel but am happy with recycled fuel.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -
Yes everyone talks about a Bosch pump then you are ok with Veg oil.
If you havent got one its dead easy to fit one.0 -

It doesnt matter the make, nearly all diesels over 10yrs old will run on veg.
Bio D is a different thing, its just a term for home made diesel which depending on whats put inot it could run on any diesel car. Bio diesel is very different depending on how you make it.0 -
From my search the common consensus for the best car to run on veg oil is a merc E300. other owners run it all year round on svo.0
