Speedcam info is not that accurate... I have now noticed 3 local ones showing 40MPH in a 30MPH zone. Would prefer if it showed a lower rate rather than a higher.0

Iv'e now got the september pocketgpsworld update on mine which tells you about traffic light, mobile and speed camera's etc which is alot better than the ones on tomtom 60

What's the cheapest you've seen these going for and where?0

Probably not available anywhere now.
Don't pay more than £100 for a Micromaxx/Mio 168 if you do find one.
Have a look in your local Staples. They're flogging off old stock SatNav gear at good prices. Look for prices ending in £xx.91.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
Just updated my Micromaxx PDA to WM2003SE but now the GPS utility is missing... It works fine (better in fact as I can now turn TT6 to landscape mode and its faster). But I was wondering if someone can tell me if there is a good GPS utility I can use to check the status of my connection.0

Looks like I've loaded mine (a micromaxx mdppc 150) with the wrong firmware
(Mio 168 168WWER22)...after loading & powering on, I see a splash screen of a windsurfer, but then the screen just goes black. Can anyone help n pointing me to a good location for the latest version of firmware (actually make that *any*version of compatible firmware!)
Edit: Now sorted...I'm now running my Micromaxx on the latest Mio 168 firmware, as located here...

& the latest GPS firmware, as located here...

Ian.
dunno...but I wasn't happy with the GPS performance...the latter of the two links I gave relates to the GPS only...upgraded, but I haven't used it yet so can't say if it's any better. Other users speak of a whole new PDA feel by upgrading the main PDA s/w...can't say yet....not sufficient time using it either!!0 -
After reading through a forum on one of your links it seems that GPS reception is much improved after updating the firmware so I may do that. I find that GPS reception on mine is hopeless unless I use an external aerial, bought on ebay for a tenner and well worth the money. I would like to use my Micromaxx on my bike or out walking but with the reception as it is there is no point, I rarely get a signal without the ext aerial. I assume that the GPS upgrade can be done without doing the Mio firmware as they are seperate files.
Thanks,
