I was at the Newcastle shop for it opening this morning and it was a nightmare! There were about 30 people in wanting the hat boxes, but 3 people, took all of them. If everyone had took one or two even each, everyone could have been happy. One of them had 12 (and kept telling everyone she had no sense of smell!) so no one was happy really.

12? OMG, that's well taking the P. I wish there was a Lush in Sunny Sunderland where I work.
Guess I'll just hang on for the grab bags.

I know its first come first served but when you know others are waiting its rude in my opinion, I managed to get the nudge nudge wink wink one and my mum got the star dust one so were still happy but upset in a way that people can abuse that. By the time we left the store at 9.45ish unless they were hiding more out the back, the only ones left were £15 downwards!

I went in early today and ended up first in the queue. Of course my aim was to go for the £100 hat box but sadly my store opened yesterday and they sold out of those then.

However I wouldnt have been so greedy as to take 12 and really Lush should limit each gift set to 2 per customer so that no customer can snaffle them all.

I had made up my mind that I would befriend the next person in the queue and say I would grab a hat box for them / they grab one for me etc but sadly there were no hat boxes to be had. I got the enchanted box though which was worth £32 and is actually a really nice set. I missed out on the winter wonderland boxes worth £50 but these boxes had stuff in I wouldnt use so Im perfectly happy with what I got.:T:T:T

Savvy, i was so so sorry to read your post. If you PM me your address, i have a spare angel delight soap I can send you as Ive ended up with 2 and its not my favourite soap :D

Tell me about it, it was really annoying and they had the cheek to walk around saying im not greedy to anyone who would listen and then asked the staff what they smell like cos they had no sense of smell! What were they doing buying it then!!! I said the same about limiting them, I know its first come first served but buying 12 you know they are gonna end up on ebay!

To top it off, they put all of our stuff in two bags, one with just a gift box and the other with a gift box and everything else, including 2 of the large shampoos/conditioners, one medium and one small, a tub of big, a shaving cream and others I cant remember. The gift boxes are heavy so the bottom fell out of one of the bags and my new toner (breath of fresh air) which I was looking forward to trying and thought was expensive gave up the ghost and leaked all over the floor of M&S and all over the star dust box for my friends birthday. Also managed to lose a shaving thing, Razorantium which I bought for my dad, it disapeared in M&S when the bag died, I thought it rolled so looked everywhere but it was gone so think someone may have half inched it. At least mine didnt amount to the same as the woman who lost her purse, just 20 or so but still annoying. You think it would be obvious a paper bag is not going to contain a box containing 8 things in it along with a tub of big, large I love juicy shampoo, veganese conditioner, a bath bar, a small rehab shampoo, a medium daddyo shampoo and the rest I cant remember! I wish I had realised it was so obvious it wouldnt hold before it happened!

Having rummaged through my bag when I got home last night, I have noticed that 2 items are missing!! They must not have been packed. I don't want to go back to the store - its 30 mins by car and then a £2.20 park and ride fare away. Is there anything I can do?

Give them a call and explain, the telephone number should be on the receipt. They are usually very helpful.

I agree with debsjc - call them about the items on your receipt but not in your bag. In my experience they are really very good with customers' problems.

Oh no that's so annoying! I'd email lush and say how disappointed you were about this, 30 of you went to all that effort and lush didn't have a plan to keep as many customers as possible happy. They may want to limit customers in future.
