Unfortunately you are probably right about it picked up and taken. My son left his nintendo DS in Argos a few months back. We went back as soon as we realised and it had gone. You would have thought with his name and age being stored on it, that someone would have handed it in but no such luck.
Yeah it annoys me that some people have no scruples, I'd hand a DS in for gods sake, it's not hard eh??

I found £100 in a cashpoint once, handed it straight into the bank, I know how I'd feel if I lost £100 so to me it's a no brainer to hand stuff in in the hope the owner gets it back. But hey ho greed knows no bounds

  • The week before my son lost his DS, we found one of those blackberry things in Sainsburys car park, I handed it straight in. I hoped the person who found the DS would have the same morals, but obviously not. Lets hope the person who [strike]swiped[/strike] forgot to hand in your bag turns out to be allergic:rolleyes:

savvy - Sorry to hear you lost your stuff. I did quite well at the Lush sale yesterday, if you wouldn't mind contributing to the postage I would be happy to send you a few bits for free (soap + bath bombs) - just Pm me
  • Was going to go into London yesterday to try to get one of those hat boxes but then saw a video clip of Selfridges on the BBC & decided against it.

Went in to the Lush in Covent Garden fairly late today (1ish) & they had loads of the enchanted left. I got supernatural box which Im chuffed with.

I just had to post in here and say how much I admire your generosity towards a virtual stranger (I assume) - what a lovely forum this is

Savvy, I'm sorry to hear about your bag as well, I left my handbag in a shop last weekend with hundreds of pounds worth of stuff in it, and I was sobbing when I realised, I was absolutely convinced I'd seen the last of it - thankfully my story had a happy ending and I got the bag back, but it saddens me that there are people out there that would be so selfish to take things without a second thought. Hopefully karma will pay them a little visit very soon! xxx

They do it every year and its a truly wonderful offer.

LUSH always make fantastic products, and their ethical stance is second to none. When something goes wrong in the world; animal tested ingredients, too much use of plastic, or palm oil etc. LUSH speak up and actually do something to try and make things better.

This offer is great for two reasons 1) Its a golden time to try something and sample their products for future addictions. And 2) the whole approach to it "LUSH do not believe in sales, if a company can reduce the price by huge amounts then the customer isn't getting the best deal to start with" is LUSH Treating Customers fairly. :D

  • The staff are always fantastic in pretty much all the stores I've been in. Great customer service. You really notice it too when you go into another store & theyre having their own conversation while youre waiting like a mug to pay.
Keep meaning to ring up and say how great theyre staff are.

That's just reminded me of the time when my sister left her purse on the roof off my car. It flew off and someone handed it in to the local police station. When, I went to collect it for her, the policeman said, your sister certainly like fruit doesn't she. I looked had him quizically and nodded. When I returned the purse to my sister and told her what the policeman had said, she blushed and revealed she had a pack of fruit flavoured condoms in her purse:o
