Thanks, i didn't look at any made before dates. The highest price gift set they had was £25. Having never used Lush, i wasn't sure what to buy. May have to pop back and have a proper look0

Go for it, if your new to Lush tell one of the Sales Assistance and I'm sure they will be more then happy to help you find the right things for you, I expect it will be a nice change for them from all the frantic shoppers grabbing what they can.;)Started comps 7th August 2007 total for 2007 £1890
had a break for a couple of months £835 / £2008 wins this month,

I went into Cambridge today - lots of hatboxes to be had (inc Merry Christmas worth £70 and Winter Wonderland). Nabbed one only to be told that I couldn't use my vouchers :-(But I am disapointed as last year i'm pretty sure you only had to spend £10-15 as i remember walking round with 2 big gift boxes!
I spent £40 on staples (also been "saving", ran out of shampoo ages ago!) and got a hatbox and moisturiser worth £85 free0 -
debsjc - that is a really lovely offer thank you, but it's okay
I just have to take it on the chin.
Well think it over, and hopefully let me know if you change your mind. I stocked up on all my shampoo, conditioner, bath melts, and toner for the year - so I got 4 gifts, and I really don't need all that much stuff!0 -
I bought £20 worth of lovely stuff, snow fairy shower gel, some bath fizzers for my children and a gorgeous smelling soap, Godmother, I think and got the Supernatural box set worth just under £30 free, I was very pleased but now reading this I want a hat box one. Methinks I'll be in town next year super early and leave the OH with the kids!!!!! Thanks for all the info and hope everyone enjoys their baths etc!!!!:A :

Savvy I'm really sorry that you lost the bag containing your purchases. Not sure if it will help but I have just emailed Lush to ask them to read this thread to see if they could do anything for you. Its worth a try as it is (was) Christmas.
I got loads of Lush stuff for Christmas but will wait to see if the grab bags appear on line like last year - they were fantastic and Lush even honoured all the orders even though they had run out of stock.0 -

But I do have a Dior makeup set to take back to Debenhams so that's an other incentive to go and get myself some goodies.
Or shall I wait for the grab bags? HHmmm
I was at the Newcastle shop for it opening this morning and it was a nightmare! There were about 30 people in wanting the hat boxes, but 3 people, took all of them. If everyone had took one or two even each, everyone could have been happy. One of them had 12 (and kept telling everyone she had no sense of smell!) so no one was happy really. I know its first come first served but when you know others are waiting its rude in my opinion, I managed to get the nudge nudge wink wink one and my mum got the star dust one so were still happy but upset in a way that people can abuse that. By the time we left the store at 9.45ish unless they were hiding more out the back, the only ones left were £15 downwards!Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member No 2 :j

For only the second time in my life, I bought something in Lush today. 3 shower gels and a My fair lady boxset.
Served and helped by a very helpful guy, but the boxsets are very bath and soap oriented (I prefer showers). Still, a freebie's a freebie.
On the downside, they really could do with getting a plumbed in sink in the shop, rather than a bowl of dirty cold water to "entice" you to try the products! Also, cos everything has that infused generic Lush smell about it, you can hardly smell the difference of some products i nthe shop - it was only when I got home that I could differentiate between the different scents.
Also, I had a laugh at their website earlier - their ridiculous claim concerning the Porridge soap that a product containing Sodium Lauryl Sulphate is good for sensitive skin!
Lush is still vastly overpriced, but I fancied a treat today. If they permanently halved their prices, I might buy something again before next Dec 27th.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
