You can post whatever you like.Ditto, I was trying to be generally helpful re the relative weight thing for anyone else reading this who might feel bad - you clearly don't and that's fab. It wouldn't cross my mind to be unpleasant to you? I'm sitting here feeling really crap but we are having loads of newbies so I'm trying to log on regularly welcome every one and help explain stuff:(
No worries, I just got confused as other people had posted theirs so I thought that's what we did! And then I misunderstood the weight / height thing - I honestly didn't think you were being unpleasant, I just wondered if you had misinterpreted why I'd posted my weight!
I hope you're feeling better this afternoon.Say hello to Brighton for me - I miss the Lanes and the good shopping.
(And the quality television, and Quorn sausages, and fast internet speeds.)
I did my first day of SW today. I ate pasta, lots of it, and that was pretty much it. I like that I can eat as much pasta as I want, although I think I perhaps need to be careful not to take it literally. I'm sure I'll calm the pasta thing as I get into it...the novelty will undoubtedly wear off:
Breakfast - 28g oats with banana (5 Syns, free)
Lunch - A LOT of pasta, 113g tuna, chopped onion (free, HEb, free)
Dinner - Loved the pasta so much, I had more, with 42g reduced fat cheddar cheese grated over it (free, HEb)
Snacks - 350ml skimmed milk (HEa)
Snacks - 2 x apples, 3 x nectarines, some very low fat yoghurt (all free)
Snacks - 2 x teaspoons sugar in black tea (2 Syns)
Plus water and a bottle of very cold diet coke as it was 31 degrees today and I needed it.
KiKi' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".0 -
Sorry, just seen Marion's post - don't worry if you've blown it a little...it always happens around holiday time. I don't know about you, but I think my worst habit is that if I fall off the wagon a *little* I tend to think "oh, sod it, I might as well fall off completely" and then go on a huge pig out. You seem to have a lot more discipline than me, so don't beat yourself up over it!
Do you have any HEa or HEb in your plan for today? Now I'm into it, I'm curious.

Have weighed myself this morning and now have a starting weight to go off - fingers crossed for good news this time next week.
Bit of a late start this morning and a slight panic over what day I'm due back at work  tho I've sorted that now. Just goiing through the forums and having a drink and then I'm going to go for a run, probably a short one as I've got quite a bit to do today. Will report back later.0 -

Thanks Kiki, I am finding with the new extra easy plan I do tend to forget to have the heb, especially if I don't have cereal in the morning! I have edited my daily diet post!
I do the falling off the wagon thing with great regularity but normally climb back on the next morning:o:o
I think you will find the pasta thing will slow down for you in a while. It is the novelty of being on a diet but being allowed to eat loads of our favorite foods that makes us overindulge to start with! When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0 -
wow raph great photos, i knew you had lost but the photos really really show it. thanks for posting them. and did i see that it si your birthday today? happy birthday.
bb hope you feel better soon.0 -

Just wondering if someone could give me a brief outline of how the RC diet works and what it's based on, not ever really heard much about it. Perhaps there's a website that explains it well? Doing OK food-wise at the moment, but the excercise is lacking slightly (although saying that the 1-mile walk to work and the 1-mile back twice a day is probably helping!).
Hi Leverton
Basically it is a low fat diet, try not to eat anything over 5% fat, and keep to a reasonable calorie level - this is why I find https://www.caloriecount.about.com helps as that makes sure I don't over (or in my case under!) do the caloriesDo not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Raph - can I join in with the others to say how fab you look (you looked nice before but you seem to have an inner glow now) - I know you are in love but you can see how happy you are!
BB - sorry to hear that - AIs and steroids can be a bu88er, and can interfere with Homeopathic remedies. Have you tried echinacea as a supplement to boost your immunity - I'm sure you will have but thought it might be worth a mention.
Had a nice night away with the inlaws, but over indulged in red wine. Had a nice walk under the Humber bridge on the way back, and bought some mutton at a farmers market which is slowly cooking in the slowcooker - never tried it before so fingers crossed.
Corrine - I'm not an RC follower but think there is a good web site. You sound nicely fired up to get started. Sorry to hear about the ankle - that sort of # can be a so and so to heal. Good luck.
I am doing OK with my revolutions so far.....
NO pastry and counting
Have left bad eating habits in 2008 so far
AND am having stuff in moderation (even the red wine last night - don't really drink these days so any is too much for my system but was making a glass last 2 rounds)....
We bought 2 fruit teacakes at the farmers market, and have had them toasted with butter for lunch. That would have been just a snack in my former life lol! They were lovely.
God luck with the HHEs later - I will be out with the dog again around 4 -5 ish so will be with you in spirit.
BTW - sold 18 out of 19 items and only have 2 left to get payment for on ebay - yeah. Looking forward to the next 5p listing day!NO EXCUSES - THIS YEAR IT'S PERSONAL..........0 -
Fitorbust - well done on your resolutions. And well done on all the ebay sales. I have a couple of things to put on, when is the next 5p listing day?0
-
Well done fitorbust.
Went for a very short run as it was just too cold, but at least it was something. Looking forward to a nice warm gym for the next few days, really helps the motivation!0
