Looks like it'll be "within 90 days".

"What they are saying now is if I don't demolish it within 90 days, they can put me in prison."

They should have said that 7 years ago :)

Whilst it's right that it should be finally demolished, it's equally right that there are multiple layers and levels of appeal. It's just that he's (finally) exhausted them.

When it does inevitably come down, I doubt those who insisted that it would never happen will admit they were wrong...

I wonder how much time and money he's cost the taxpayer fighting this over the years.

I wonder how much he's cost himself.

I still reckon he'll declare bankruptcy.

Yes he seems to have won.

Although you will get some on here insisting it will be demolished soon. They were saying that ten years ago, and will still be insisting it in another ten years.

    But he has won.

He has won. Yes there will be ongoing legal proceedings and every now and then you will hear this time it will come down for sure, but this is what you have been hearing for years now. He has won end of story.

Same old same old, for years now people say "no he hasnt got away with it, it will have to come down this time"

All the time he is laughing at the council and he has indeed got away with it.

    .....
A farmer who built a mock Tudor castle without planning permission says he has no choice but to demolish it after losing a seven-year legal battle.

If he does, it will all have been his own fault!

He shouldn't have built it without permission, but I think it's really cool! :D

    This.

    It's a lovely house.

It's a shame he didn't do things properly to begin with, and also shame to have to knock it down.

But I guess you can't justify an exception to the law on the grounds of it being a really cool house :rotfl:

Just as well for him, really. It's a godawful pseudo-mock-retro-pastiche mess...

He should stage a one man protest, by standing on the top of the Turret as the Council come to pull it down. I can already see the newspaper headlines…………..Fidler on the roof. :D

If he was a rich man...

Well, if he hadn't wasted so much money on trying to fiddle the law...
