I think you will be pleased with the TV and at a great price. Ive just been playing some HD stuff through mine and it looks excellent. having said that even normal digital quality looks great.0 -
Thanks colinw, but the model in the link is the U3000. The Tesco one is U4000 and it definitely said it has Bravia engine. I also checked the box when I was in store.
Looks like RogerRampant has a point when he said they are trying to confuse us!

Good point WestieFan after looking at the 32U4000 it does look very similar possibly with slighlty different styling. They certainly do try and confuse people. Not oly different letters but they differ the numbers after them.0 -
Well, with that £50 voucher burning a hole in my pocket, I took the plunge and went for the Tesco U4000 today, but prepared to return it if not happy. Cost with vat adjustment was £342.51 and after deducting my voucher took it down to £292.51.
I have set it up and must say I am delighted with it. It has the Bravia engine, and it was so easy to set up, compared to my old CRT which was a nightmare trying to get cable and dvd recorder working properly. It's metallic silver in colour, which suits me fine. The picture is excellent, much better than I expected with 'normal' telly and a lot better than some I have seen on display, although I know this can be down to the aerial setup. I don't have any HD stuff to try on it yet so the next thing on the list will be a new dvd recorder I suppose, as mine isn't fit for digital.:D0 -
Yeah I was thinking now I've bought the telly I might as well buy a bluray... :P0
