Well, with that £50 voucher burning a hole in my pocket, I took the plunge and went for the Tesco U4000 today, but prepared to return it if not happy. Cost with vat adjustment was £342.51 and after deducting my voucher took it down to £292.51.

I have set it up and must say I am delighted with it. It has the Bravia engine, and it was so easy to set up, compared to my old CRT which was a nightmare trying to get cable and dvd recorder working properly. It's metallic silver in colour, which suits me fine. The picture is excellent, much better than I expected with 'normal' telly and a lot better than some I have seen on display, although I know this can be down to the aerial setup. I don't have any HD stuff to try on it yet so the next thing on the list will be a new dvd recorder I suppose, as mine isn't fit for digital.:D

I suppose you could get a DVD/HDD recorder which will also upscale the image to either 720p or 1080p. Unless you want to splash out on a blue ray player! The only HD stuff I have tried has been through my laptop. Looked good mind.

JL also called me today with Fri Del time too Lynsey. What great service!

And bless that you've finally got one, as noticed you've been after a TV for a while now and they've all fallen through :(
Well, never mind now!! Cos i think we both got the best deal this time round! :D So am happy you're finally happy and also managed to get one. :)

    @ JL.

    xx

I did lose out on a few Samsungs and was pretty livid I missed the Amazon Sony deal, I've been looking for a decent 32" tv for the bedroom for a while.
It's fate, must be fate, I believe this is the best deal so far and I'm more than happy, the 5 year guarantee is a real bonus at the price.

It's no longer available @ £299. Hope you get sorted.
Just had a call from JL today giving a delivery time for Friday, excellent service.
Strange thing is my VAT receipt is showing £399. Only £299 taken, thank God. :D

You can't be lost if you don't know where you're going.

Amazon have it for £350 with 3-year warranty. They do seem to have stock.

Also checked Argos but no stock around where I am.
