If its useful to anyone, just found this link which explains how to temporarily unlock the e616 via a code, no cable required.

does not work on e616v :-X
  • I looked up specs of this phone on another website and am a little confused. Does it come with a bluetooth?

Just ordered that and the £4.99 nokia 7600 package!

Yes it does contain Bluetooth - after having fun with all the Chrimbo freebies (lend it to some rellies or a trusted friend over Xmas and get them to contact you on your contract phone using the free video calls/messages) it actually becomes an extremely cheap form of mobile handset insurance for your Bluetooth capable Nokia 7600 contract handset. Just stick it in your bottom draw and hope that you never have to take it out at any point.

Saw a stall offering E616V unlocking at a car boot sale yesterday!

I know that's not much help but I thought I'd throw it into the pot anyway ;)
  • There's already a thread about this phone on MSE (wouldn't ya know it!!) under:
'Telephone Bills, Mobile phones & Internet access.'

There's also a 3g Users forum site where this phone & others are discussed at:
    https://www.3g.co.uk
    Can these phones be unlocked?

Please note that this phone does not come with any credit from cw.

credit is £15 extra So total cost is £44.99,same price as most other places.

Ring them before you place your order.
  • Anybody received this phone yet. So we can put to rest the question about the 15 pounds call credit????

I called them 5 mins earlier and they told me the price jumped up to 44.99 and you can not exclude the 15GBP airtime Sim.
I then ordered two for my friend and me at 29.99 each on the site.

    Thanks the OP

Exactly. You used to HAVE to purchase the £15 credit with the phone to get the package, but at the moment you can just buy the phone by itself. The thing is, as far as I know, there is only one package, which comes with the £15 credit anyway. Anyone beg to differ?
The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing:)
