  • I'm still working on a rug kit I started before I had the children.......the eldest is 19!! It spent many years in the loft but I got it down determined to finish it. Having to study for work has stopped things recently but that should be finished soon ....

It's very warming having a halfmade rug over your knees while I watch TV and hook away!

Apart from scrapbooking, the only things I have made recently are half a dozen knitted dishcloths.

Thanks all for being so inspiring, LeFoot I also spend so much time on here I rarely get to actually make something. But have made use of the xmas time off work and made lots of things :) hope everyone has been inspired too!

I am just finishing the last sleeve of a knitted jumper with lots of cable patterns, and will proceed to put it together next week. The only reason this jumper is actually being finished is that we have a weekly 'get-together' in the tiny French village where I live, where residents either play board games, cards, or bring their knitting, patchwork etc. to work on. I always go because it helps me integrate as a foreigner, I pick up any news & gossip, and my crafts projects actually get finished. Isn't it very OS to have 'circles' like this? Cheap entertainment, coffee & pastry provided by one of us by rotation, and restores our sense of community. Highly recommended.

Ha ha!! Do you know something! I have the best intentions, and abilities to do all sorts, but spend so much time reading these threads, I rarely get around to ACTUALLY doing much.

I'll second that actually!! I spend so much time looking for inspiration that I run out of time to do anything :o

craftster.org has a good forum that's full of ideas...hours more wasted...

I've joined a sewing club, but in fact people do other stuff there as well, depending on mood and what needs doing. people have been known to knit, do beading or other stuff, I have been known to just slump in the corner and drink tea! It is quite a good way of getting projects moved on and we all offer advice and opinions.

  • I haven`t been in the mood for crafting either so I decided to just do a nibble at a time, ie today I cut out a tablecloth and a chef cover and that will do for now. Tomorrow or the next day I will thread my machine and so on. Nibble by nibble it will get done. Maybe it is the winter/hibernating thing
