If you do change, bare in mind that many of the comparison sites have a vested interest, that being they get incentives from energy companies, conflict of interest perhaps? and may not always be up to date figures.
This was widely reported on BBC Radio 4, You and yours, a few weeks back.0 -
Hi all,
Been in touch with SP regarding their capped prices until 2007 and as a BG Electric customer (Atlanic for gas - yet to announce price rise) SP Seems a good deal.
However, although on the phone the deal is still available, the comparison sites don't list it any more.
Was hoping to sign up via quidco, but the link takes you to theenergypeople.com site rather than scottish power.co.uk where there is mention of signing up for Capped tariffs.
On Scottishpower.co.uk, you have to go through a quote system and because my current suppliers are cheaper at the moment, it just says, sorry can't save you anything. No links to sign up!
Is there a way to get the capped tariff through Quidco or should I just forget Quidco and phone to order?
Was thinking of applying for one of the tarriffs via Quidco and phoning SP monday to ask to be put on capped. Would this work?
Thanks All0 -
I've never had any problems changing tarriffs with SP prior to being an online customer I've just rang them to change. Obviously you need to get in pretty quickly to bag a capped tarriff as no doubt they'll go up for new customers/existing customers wanting to transfer come the 1st March.0

My Scottish power online dual fuel no standing charge capped rate is due to end in June so I thought I would take a hit now rather than wait for more price increases. Phoned scottish power today and they say that the Dual fuel energy saver offer is now closed.
Finding it difficult to know what to do. Do I compare the capped rate on line dual fuel that they are offering just now with another supplier or do I not seeing as the prices are going up in March.
Looks like I will be swapping as the £4 a month capped rate charge they will be charging will make them more expensive.
Wish I had a crystal ball .!!!I have never met a calorie yet I didn't like!!0 -
Did anyone else do this via Quidco and get cashback "declined" ? Mine showed up (correctly) at £44.00 but kept saying "£23.00 declined" ???
