Yes I have and am still awaiting confirmation0

just had a look at the prices for energy saver it seems you have to go with a daily standing charge
http://www.scottishpower.co.uk/homeenergy/aboutyourbill/pricing-online_saver.asp?section=homeenergy
so it might not seem to be such a good deal if your on a no standing charge tariff at the moment
it looks as though you will have to do your own calculations
ill let you now how my calculations look once ive done them but my own charges are bit more confusing as my gas supply is with a independent gas transporter.
the way it looks at the moment its only worth doing for existing sp customers on no standing charge if they can get cashback thru quidco.but it all depends on what tariff your already on with scottish power
maybe some one on this board can have look at the prices and give some advice0 -
I just checked Quidco today and it looks like my first payment is now due.
On the breakdown it states
24 Jan 2006 Scottishpower 0.00 46.00 validated [in bold writing]
Hopefully I get the money now0 -
How did you manage to sign up using Quidco?
When I try I get told that existing SP customers cannot change tarrif via that website.0 -
I just used this link
http://www.quidco.com/mobiles-utilities/energy-suppliers/scottish-power/
Entered my information and put down I was a SP online user and it worked out the savings.
I rang SP last week and they confirmed I could changed tarrfic although it is open to new customers. I said I did it through a broker, and they told me that it would most likely be rejected via that route.
Perhaps it may have changed via that link now.0 -
i'm an exsisting SP online dual fuel customer.
i was today going to go online via quidco and try to change to the online energy saver.0 -
Just tried again Poppycat and got this message:
'Unfortunately existing ScottishPower customers cannot use this website to change to a different ScottishPower tariff. Please contact ScottishPower directly for further details.'
Looks like you got lucky with your application!0 -
Oh dear looks like they closed the loophole.
You may still change tarrif if you contact them directly but unfortuntely not get the cashback.
They changed me but I was make noise last Decemeber about the amount I am now paying on fuel which is crippling my financies.
I try and cut back as much as I can but have a daughter who suffers from the cold due to CMT.0 -
I'm trying to change to online bill management with SP. We're in the Yorkshire area (is it PES area 23?) . I can't see any mention of extra incentives to go online apart from the standard £15 discount.
I can't work out which is cheaper:
online energy capped, ( with or without standing charge)
stanard online energy ( with or without standing charge)
Our monthly dual fuel bill is to go from estimated £80 pm to £130:(, it would've been more ( £155_pale_ ) but I just paid off £300.
The gas consumption is OK but it's the electric that's sky rocketted the bill. Not sure why it's so bad, although would expect high usage as there's 5 people at home a lot. We've used plug in delonghi heaters whilst waiting for new boiler. I charge up my mobility scooter. We run a dehumidifier 24/7 in the basement to keep it dry and avoid future bills for damp damage.0 -

Any form of electrical heating is very expensive(assuming you are not on E7).
What wattage is your dehumidifier? I have a smallish one in the USA that is 500 watts. If yours is the same power and running 24/7(without being thermostatically controlled) that will cost in the region of £25-£30 a month to run.0
