i was hoping that i wasn't going to have to mess about leaving them and then re-joining a month later !

guess they probably won't come an offer it on a plate and we'll have to approach them with the request

just switched to the new tariff i was already a online customer with them
they have said they will switch me over on march 8 but they will back date the discount back to today

the nice person on the phone did say only existing online customers who ask
to be switched will be moved to the cheaper tariff.

also you can not switch if you are on the capped rate

I rang them to see if I could change and was told it was only for new custumers only!! I'm hoping once they get the change of supplier forms they might just see what they can do for me! If not I'll change then change back in a few months via Quidco.

Just tried SP compared to my Powergen deal and it was £24 more expensive for the new SP saver.

But if I try Uswitch I get London Electricity coming in over £100 less than Powergen.

A result! Rang SP again am now on the Online energy savers tariff - potential saving £64 a year.

What about SP customers (Manweb area) that are on their standard rate (electricity only), anything for them?

Hi,

I checked out the Scottish Power website and the new product is definitely there.

It is a Dual Fuel only product so you can't get it for electricity only. It is called Dual Fuel Online Energy Saver.

Plus, if you get it via Quidco you get an additional £46 cashback. Unbelievable! That beats the pants off any cashback deal on this website.

However you can only get the £46 cashback if you go direct to ScottishPower via Quidco. You can't get it by using any of the comparison services.

I recently posted a comment on another sub-board saying that you could get £23 by switching to ScottishPower via greasypalm. Forget it! It looks like greasypalm keep half the commission. Go via Quidco and get the lot. Here's the link....
