  • Thanks guys for your posts :D

Finally found 5mins spare to post. Have had lots going on (far too complicated to post) and still not quite sure what else is going to happen. My older sister has basically just had her world torn apart and I have no idea how she is going to overcome this...it's madness. Anyhow enough of that.

Back to me and my debt busting, things that have happened this past week have made me re-evalute what is important in life and what I need to do to keep going, clear debts and keep sane at the same time....not to mention go to work and have a life!

So, I have decided to keep things as simple as possible. By this I am doing the following......
    1. Save towards paying off dmp early.
    2. Have two 'pots' one for Christmas 09 and one misc. I am going to deposit £10 in each of these pots as soon as I get paid each month.
    3. Save any £2 coins (have £8 at mo - not bad eh!!).
    4. Complete surveys, scratch cards and clicks (pending my shoulder as still gives me jip now and again).
    5. Work as much overtime as possible (within reason) towards savings.
I have decided against the £50 per week budget as looking over bank statements most weeks I didn't even spend this. Some weeks if I was able to work from home and we didn't need a shop except bread, milk etc (which OH often gets on his way home from work) I would spend nothing!!! So, I think this may encourage me to spend more than I need and think that I had more money than I usually do.

I'm still keeping my diarys, organisational and finances - keeps me motivated and on top of things.

Anyhow that's enough for me, i'm SO tired and need an early night. Will post again soon and work out a new signature idea. Funny how events can turn everything upside down - madness.

    Take care all, xx

New week, new start for me......

    Aims for today
    • NSD - apart from rail card to London.
    • Pack away washing that is currently drying.
    • Tidy about flat (general).
    • Photocopy letters at work re dmp and send off to Payplan.
    • Stay at work in London until 6pm, get some bits done that are needed whilst in office. Should be easy to do as not in until 1:30pm for meeting.
    • Eat sensibly.
Shouldn't be too hard to do once back home from London. Not looking forward to having to go up but at least it's not during rush hour and I don't have to do the normal 5am rise for a change :j

Need to get my money saving, sorting life head back on again. Have slipped of late and don't want to ruin all my hard work done so far.

Ok, how many LBM/bad times/I need a kick up the backside moments can you get in just one month.....anybody!?!

I am SO annoyed with myself. Have had a little blip in the sense of some family stuff but it's just given me the usual excuse - don't deal with what's going on in my life (money) and go to pot again.        - can only describle how I am feeling with myself.

But, now need to stop wallowing and get on and pick myself up, try again....how many times have I been in this situation?????!!!!!!!!!

Blue - thanks for your post. I'm ok thanks, not been on but been lurking and to be honest today is the first time I have given money a thought. Feel really fed up about it all again. Still, must get on with it. Seems new job is going fab :j

Am going to stop this post before it becomes long, boring and negative. Will be back later :D

Ok, things have been poop for you recently, but you are recognising this and know you have to pick yourself up and dust yourself down.

Blips happen, and beating yourself up about it will not improve anything. Have a nice cup of tea, think of all the things that you have done about your debts in the past that have been positive, and remind yourself that you have made progress before and will make progress again. We will all be here cheering you on cheerleader3.gif
  • Thanks for your post FF - it's amazing how inspiring this place can be. Just reading your post and knowing someone understands how i'm feeling helps a lot :A

    • Buy best friends little girls 1st Bday present - aah :D
    • Put on and out to dry at least one wash load
    • Daily scratch cards

Awww hun, dont be annoyed with yourself, its a bumpy road sometimes, and those bumps aren't your fault, its how you get over them thats important. Allowing yourself sometime is fine, dont beat yourself up!

You know you need to focus again now, and you can do it, you have done it before and of course you can do it again, why are you doubting yourself? Your diary has always been good, and your determination impressive, it'll be back and I have every faith that this time next week, we'll be seeing all the usua organised and focussed posts we are used to :D
  • Ok, I really need to sort myself out. Sat here crying about everything, can't even get the energy up to make a cup of tea. Just don't know what is wrong with me at the moment. Everything seems such an effort and I cry at the drop of a hat. For instance I am working from home today and half the office haven't turned in so more work for me. Anyway OH called to say come join him and mate building a snowman at lunch (boys!) and I can't as too much to do. After the phonecall I just sat and cried and cried to myself about not being able to go out....what is that all about!?!

Bit worried but I do know I how to deal with it just need to pick myself up and get to it. Easier said than done at the minute though. Suffered with depression, anxiety and panic attacks for some time before so know the signs and what I need to do but just can't seem to get the enthusiasm to do it. I'm rubbish!

Anyhow, just needed to get it off my chest. Helps to get it all down, even if I am only talking to myself :(

    Must stop wallowing......

Ok time to focus on the positives and get back on track to sorting life and debt......

    Positives for today -
    • Three loads of washing, all currently drying.
    • Cleaned kitchen.
    • Written letters re DMP to send to Payplan.
    • Written letter to claim back bank charges for old current account.
Going to carry on clearing and sorting the flat for a bit this evening, read some posts (motivating) and get myself an early night. Hoping a clear house = clear mind

After tonights sorting I need to get back to debt and a plan of action. Thinking short term and long term goals are needed.

Positives money - still have over £100 in current account and less than 2 weeks until pay day. Hoping this won't all be used (will make sure) and can add some money to my savings funds.

Have three savings accounts two small ones in my name for xmas 09 and misc funds (£10 in each so far) and then OH has savings account in his name for me which I will be using/adding to for a clear debts fund. This is so I can't readily touch it and spend the money.

Ok, back to the aim of tonight. Clear the flat. OH is at work so can get on in peace and chuck away some junk ;)

My OH knows how to cheer me up bless him. He's just called to say he's bought a sledge and we are going to go up to the hills (live near south downs) and watch sunrise and then sleigh about for a couple of hours before I have to start work....bless him. I'm excited like a little kid now :j
