a sledge - what a lovely light hearted present from OH, bet it make you smile, did you get to have much fun on it?
  • Hey Lemon - we did have such great fun! We were the first on the hills so all fresh snow and it was snowing at the time too which made it even better. I think I am bordering pro sledger.......much to OH dissapointment as he kept stopping :rotfl:

Suppose to be having more snow tonight - hoping it will settle so can at least go out in it once more :D

Keep up the good work Jolly! Lists like yours are what I'd like to do, but I just never seem to get round to it, or never have time, but I seem to have time to lie in bed in the morning til the last minute or sit watching rubbish on the tv so time for a change me thinks!
    Have a great weekend.

    I am SO happy!!!!

Just worked out that my total debt owing maximum is £55700.12 - considering it was around the £63K mark when I first started out looking at DMP I think this is really good :j

I know the total figure is actually less than £55700.12 because I don't have an up to date figure for one account and used the total balance it stood at when started dmp over a year ago so it is def less than this amount. Also have just made a payment to dmp for £814.04 so it's going to be even less as figures only calculated from balances at end of December 08.

Can't beleive how happy this has made me feel!!! It finally feels as if things have been worth it. Obviously having a couple of loans transferred to collection companies has helped as none of the interest applies now.

I have the biggest grin ever and you can't imagine someone in £55K of debt ever smiling but I am :D That means that by end of 2009 (all being well) my debt will be sub £50K. Woo hoo :j

  • So from todays list I have managed....
    • Do some form of exercise (walk to and from Tescos - 1hr)
    • Tidy about flat (spruce)
    • Do at least 2 wash loads - I swear my washing basket is having babies
    • Sort paperwork file box
    • Daily scratch cards
    • Check banking
Feeling very motivated now and can't wait to get on and save some pennies. Need to work on my spends for food etc. Just don't budget too well.

Well done on reducing your debt so much :T

    You're doing really well:D
  • Morning all,

Thanks Fresian - it's really motivating to know that my overall debt has come down. All be it's still massive compared to most but it's coming down :T

Currently at work - overtime. Not sure how long the systems are going to hold up, keeps crashing today. It must know it's the weekend and we're not suppose to work on weekend....are we...;)

Plans for today.....NOTHING....I am giving myself a day off :p

Figure it's nice at least one day a week not to have anything planned or a to do list, just a proper chill out day and I figure working overtime is enough effort for the weekend.

Hope everyone has a lovely day, no doubt I will be logging on again some time later in the day. xx

Why is it when I decided to give myself a break from things, list etc I have managed to do more?? I've even managed to go out for a run this afternoon.....:T

Still it is nice to being doing things by choice rather than following the list. Worked overtime today only 3.5 hours as systems died  It's supposed to be on again tomorrow so keeping my fingers crossed.

Just been watching downloads of series 24.....ooh it's so good. Had to make myself stop though as just watched the first three episodes in a row, will watch another in bed tonight. So addictive!

Anyhow, off for a bit of a tidy round, bath and then a nice early night ready for some work (hopefully) tomorrow :D

    Take care xx
