sorry didn't get much time online yesterday so couldn't reply. glad you found out the details of a second site. I'm now upto £3.50 on the two sites. I didnt' realise either that if you hit F5 sometimes you get a second card to scratch.

Well done on the runs and the NSD's. I've had another one today, think i'm up to 6 or 7 which isn't bad really.

Well done on your run. :T I'm too lazy to go out running, but I do plan to get out walking when the weather improves, but one step at a time. Poor you having to work the whole weekend but like you say the extra money will be handy. Bet you can't wait for payday to start your new more organised approach to money. It's amazing how exciting it is, I still cannot believe it and hope the way I feel right now stays with me!
Off to load the dishwasher now and give the kitchen a wee tidy up,well a big tidy up actually - it's a tip!

  • Hi guys,

Another NSD for me :T and another 70p from scratch card wind. Also very productive day, worked so earned the extra money towards feb payday and then OH had a 'moment' and decided he wanted to spring clean the flat!! So our flat is now super clean, organised and de-cluttered :j

Although shattered now I am glad as means I can concentrate my efforts on money next week.

Thanks for the F5 tip Lemon, might give that a try.

Primula, i'm definately looking forward to this Thursday and starting my organised money - it'll be a challenge for me but i'm up for anything at the mo!!

Another day done and dusted - overtime worked, 50p more won on scratch card and feeling pooped now! Have managed to pull a muscle in my shoulder so in agony at the moment - it's even hurting typing now....oh no:eek: Hope my clicking days aren't coming to an end!!!

Feeling very positive and optomistic about things - can't wait for payday on Thursday that's when the real challenge begins and the super debt busting/saving starts. Woo hoo :j

    Hi there Jolly
Oh no, poor you with a sore shoulder.
Do you have a heat pad (or a hot water bottle does the job even) - then for as long as you can, sit with the heat on the sore bit, then get your OH to give it a nice wee massage for you, even 5 minutes makes a difference – you have him well trained anyway managing to get him to clean the whole flat for you!
Have you decided yet what all your little savings pots are going to be for?
Anyway, hope your shoulder is not so bad today and is on the mend, seriously the heat pack works a treat and even when it gets better it does no harm to keep doing it for a wee while afterwards.
Oh, and definitely we can spur each other on with the weight thing. Who needs to pay £5 per week for slimming classes eh?!

  • Just a little update for today - off to bed in a mo, so tired.

    Daily scratch - 30p
Odd amounts in current account - 0.77p (transferred to savings for lump sum)
£2 coin in change today -added to £2 savers.

Not too bad a day, just still in agony with shoulder. Off to bed with the hot water bottle as suggested Primula, thank you :T

  • Ok, shoulder still hurting but getting better. Using my left hand to type and use mouse...interesting!!

Just quickly whist working, aims for today....
    • Do two washloads and put out to dry
    • Spruce clean of bathrooms
    • Write shopping list for weekend
    • Try and do some daily clicks/surveys (pending shoulder)
    • Go for walk/run & sit ups
    • Decide what saving pots I am going to have and start some envelopes until I get pots
    • Register with music magpie and sort cd's
Not too much really, already have the walk/run sorted as friend coming round this evening and she is on a diet so suggested she join me. She's not up to running so have comprimised and we are going to combine the two short jogs and longer runs and then sit ups when we get back :D

Must get back to work. Will update tonight.

Definitely doesn’t help spending all day on a computer – I do too and have suffered with pain too in the past. Had physio to help and it was the physiotherapist who told me about the hot water bottle. She said it does no harm whatsoever to sit for as long as you can, even the whole evening with heat on the muscles and the longer you can do it for the better. You are right thought it does just take time. I think the mouse has a lot to answer for myself!!

Good girl getting your tin all ready and starting it off even before your payday. It’s all quite exciting isn’t it – OMG I think I am turning into someone I never thought I would – getting excited about saving a few pounds in pots! LOL. What you’re saving for sounds good to me. The misc/emergency pot is really good – me and OH have a bank account for this and it has been very handy, even when something as simple as the kettle blows up. And its good you have your lump sum savings account for your debt – hope you have checked the interest rates just now to see you are getting as good a deal as you can? I know they are rubbish but some are paying more than others.

I’m on a high just now. Sneaked out of the office to Boots 75% sale which started today. Came back with four huge bags – prezzies for throughout the year and also some for next Christmas too. Downside was I spent £97.20 BUT paid in cash not on credit card so that was good – I knew it would be coming up so I had kept some money aside for it. What a bargain though – the right price would have been £388.80. Wow – I am so chuffed with myself!

Better get back to work now! Take care and hope your shoulder continues to improve – don’t overdo it though.

Wow! That's fantastic on boots purchases....might take a look myself.

Shoulder is getting there, not using my right arm for the mouse at the mo, very difficult though and my output at work has declined :o The hot water bottle is fab though, have been sat with it on and off since last night, so thanks for that.

I agree, it is really exciting. I can't wait to start on my £50 week budget for everything...mad really. I just can't wait to see what the efforts of 2009 bring for everyone and i'm really hoping I can raise enough to pay off a lump sum of debt and get back to normal.

  • Hiya, I found your diary!! Mutual support and all that! However yours is much better written than mine, I think might have to take a leaf out of your book and do it in a similar style, its very good!

You sound very determined and focussed, thats gotta be good, I need to look into these free scratchcard things, I still havent got around to it!

    Hope your shoulder is better?
